Post Malone & Jelly Roll Share Wholesome Moment with JellyRoll’s Mom

Jelly Roll and Post Malone

Post Malone and Jelly Roll have embarked on a big tour – it’s literally called “The Big A** Stadium Tour.” If you haven’t figured it out yet, they’re hitting all the big stadiums. Back in late April of this year. The two artists added Los Angeles’s SoFi Stadium as a tour stop. They played at SoFi on Thursday, June 19th, to a happy and energetic crowd. They also shared a special moment with a close family member.

Jelly Roll’s Mom Stops By

After the show, the singer’s mom, Donna, who had been at the show, stopped by backstage. She visited her son, and she had a special request: Post Malone’s autograph! Donna had even brought her own felt pen for him to sign the CD.

Donna DeFord didn’t want to be too presumptuous in asking for autographs. Jelly Roll reaffirmed to her that he’d get his touring partner to sign. He wheeled Mom Donna into the greenroom so she could meet his tour partner – and it was one of the more tender moments on the road.

Post Malone signed her CD and asked her a few questions, like if Jason had bought her a house yet. “Yes, a nice one,” she responded. The two artists are some of the most generous in the business. After their exchange, they hugged. A few minutes later, the three posed for a few pictures. They all, of course, flipped the bird in a show of unison.

Jelly Roll Loves his Mama

Sadly, Jelly Roll’s father, Buddy (Horace) DeFord, passed away in 2019. He maintains a very close relationship with his mom (he says it’s to make up for all the years he called her from jail), and he visits her whenever he can. In 2024, be took her to the beach for the first time in three decades.

It’s been a wild tour so far, which has included visits from family and fellow singers. There was even a fan whose hair was accidentally singed by pyrotechnics. With a great setlist and popular songs, these two will be attracting large crowds on the tour. It concludes in a little less than two weeks; their last US concert date is Tuesday, July 1st at Oracle Park in San Francisco. They have a show planned in the UK in September.
