In response, President Biden approved a major disaster declaration for California, allowing affected individuals to immediately receive access to recovery funds and resources. Alongside Biden, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved a fire management assistance grant on Tuesday, reimbursing California for its firefighting costs.
