The official trailer of ‘Now You See Me, Now You Don’t’ has officially been dropped. This is the follow-up to ‘Now You See Me 2’. The movie stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher. Also returning are Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, and Daniel Radcliffe, along with newcomers to the franchise, Justice Smith, Ariana Greenblatt, Dominic Sessa, and Rosamund Pike. This movie is set to be released on November 14th, 2025. The last time we saw this cast was in 2013’s Now You See Me 2, with the exception of Fisher, who didn’t come back for the 2nd film.
Magical Return to Cinemas
The movie sees J. Daniel Atlas (Eisenberg) recruiting a band of young magicians to steal the heart diamond, but when things go sideways, he gets help from some old friends. Even though this is just a teaser, it brings back what we’ve loved about the “Now You See Me” series of movies. It also sees the return of Henley Reeves, Fisher, who was missing from the last film, being replaced by Lula, played by Lizzy Chaplin.
This makes me question whether we will see her character pop up again, or was she just a one-and-done character? We also see Eisenberg’s character placed into a leadership role as he seems to be mentoring he’s upcoming young magicians just to get his hands on a diamond, but what, of course, is this diamond for, and why did he split with the four horsemen to begin with? It is nice to see him step up and take the lead, but where does this con go?
The Poster to Reveal All
Alongside the release of the teaser trailer, a poster for the film was released. It features the whole cast but two members from ‘Now You See Me 2’, Mark Ruffalo’s character, Dylan Rhodes, and Lizzy Chaplin’s character, Lula. This puts some mystery behind whether we will see these characters or not. Rhodes’ story in particular has been one of the main bases of the series, focusing on his father’s legacy and getting revenge on the magician who was responsible for his death. This carried both movies along with the chemistry of our four horsemen.
What To Expect of the Unexpected
Expect to see magic and heist as a new generation of magicians take up their mantles among the talented magicians. Just make sure you see that sleight of hand when you watch the film, but there’s definitely going to be some plot twist you won’t see coming. This movie is already pushing forward with a sequel in the works after the trailer was shown at CinemaCon 2025, along with a potential spin-off movie starring Jay Chou, who played Li in ‘Now You See Me 2’. If this upcoming movie is as successful as its previous entries, we could see a lineup of films or even TV series based on the ‘Now You See Me’ franchise.
