When a group of Santas rob the bank they work at together, she is taken as a hostage so the police do not try to stop them from escaping. Without skipping a beat, Caine steals a cop car and is in a high-speed chase with the robbers. His lack of experience in fighting or handling a gun makes him seem weak. However, the robbers quickly learn that he is more than capable of fighting back.
Novocaine is a thrilling adventure with little witty remarks and comical accidents. Caine will stop at nothing to get back his woman. His ability to take bullets, reach into an oil trap, and receive multiple stabbings makes him the most dangerous and superhuman of their time. It is best not to underestimate him. However, he must be careful in understanding that although he may not feel pain, he is still capable of dying.

Novocaine is seemingly the next Deadpool or Wolverine. Caine may not have the mutant ability to heal himself and regenerate, but he cannot feel pain, so he can endure just as much as Deadpool or Wolverine before he becomes debilitated. However, unlike those two, this seems like a one-and-done film, especially considering who the writers and directors are.
The trailer gives an off-brand superhero vibe. It seems fast-paced, with intense fighting and untimely humor. The music also hints that the soundtrack will be upbeat, much like other superhero movies. However, the issue with this film is that it is not a superhero movie.
