Netflixs Love Is Blind Season 7: First Impression Of Singles

love is blind

Netflix is blessing us all with another season of Love is Blind. It feels like yesterday we were being deluged with drama from the season 6 reunion. Here we are, with 30 youngish singles looking for love in Washington, D.C. this time. We have to get to know the people on this show because they are already America’s newest singles looking for love on a reality show. Now a days, reality stars are as famous as traditional celebrities. Let’s discuss the contestants (and the show) below!

Love Is Blind Season 7

Somehow we are back for season 7 of Love is Blind, even though season 6 feels like it was just over. But time is money, folks. We have 7 seasons since the debut first episode in 2020. Who knows how long the show will last with all the lawsuits, so we need to find love for hopeful singles everywhere, right now.

This time we are in the nation’s capital, with our lucky ladies and gents. Based on the first episode, nothing is obviously different from the other seasons. Netflix wasted no time in letting us know that they do in fact feed their contestants. Because highly curated reality TV can never be wrong. It’s the rules.

Must Know Stars

Despite there being 30 contestants, you’ll only get to know a handful. Don’t get too attached to anyone because you’ll probably never see them again. Unless they find themselves in a super toxic relationship, then we will be plagued with them all season. You can always get attached to the Lachey’s though. Nick and Vanessa are back for their seventh season of Love is Blind, somehow. Nick has dad-joke vibes when he says he has never heard of the term ‘situationship.’ Vanessa does the ‘frustrated wife’ eye-roll, imparts a little advice, and mom and dad are gone until the reunion.

The People You Can Forget: Bohdan (36), David (29), Jason (30), Nick P. (31), Perry (31), Ramses (35), Raymond (33), Stephen (34), Tamar (33), Tim (33), Alexandra (33), Ally (31), Ashley W. (32), Dylan (30), Katie (36), Marissa (32), Monica (37), Morgan (33), Nina (32), and Jenny (31).

People To Keep An Eye On: Garrett (33), Leo (31) and his Rolex, Nick D. (29), Tyler (34), Ashley A. (32), Brittany (33), Hannah (27), Tara (29), and Taylor (30).

This season is the first season with siblings—Nina and Tara. But we only get to know Tara, barely. Don’t forget about the required love square. This time it is between Leo and his rolex, Nick D., who brags about being in the XFL, “My man has to be buff,” Hannah, and pay 100% of my bills, Brittany. There’s a few glimmers of love, but it’s not in that square.

Consistency is Key

Love is Blind has a brand, and they’re sticking to it. Other than what feels like slightly more camera time for contestants of color and slightly older participants, everything is the exact same. Everyone is conventionally attractive—there is even a buff Prince Harry! Almost everyone is pencil thin, and women who aren’t thin or young are highlighted for it.

It’s still very white in the pods. White is the default—Grady will make that painfully obvious in the first episode when he is super weird about his future wife Taylor (maybe), who is not fully white. Taylor is so nervous about being prejudged because of her ethnicity, which is so sad and should be validated. It shouldn’t even be a concern in our nation’s capital in 2024. However, these folks are sticking to dating within their race, like there’s still laws about that. Get it together, Garrett.

We have the obligatory older black couple, Tyler and Ashley, who are already stealing the hearts of America with their cuteness (we love you, Tiffany and Brett). Tyler will make Ashley (and the audience) cry with his sweet story about his single mother raising him and his two sisters.

Also included is the spacy smart scientist male (who resembles Cameron from season 1), non-descript job titles (so many tech bros), the playboys, the men and women who connect with everyone, and lots and lots of trauma. Despite boatloads of childhood trauma and more psychological complexes than there are contestants, no one needs therapy. They just need love. Trauma dumping without consent is a pre-requisite as well. And beige questions will be lobbed at each other like “What is your favorite Trader Joe’s snack?” Ooh, spicy.

Conclusion

Thank goodness Love is Blind is back. We just finished the 57th season of The Perfect Match, and it’s been roughly six months since season 6 of Love is Blind. We noted the majority of the cast; you can ignore the two seconds they’re on camera, and our nine super stars you’ll see on Instagram forever. 10 if you count Leo’s rolex (he’s an art dealer, and don’t you forget it!). Some things never change, like the majority of the problematic things we have seen on past seasons of Love Is Blind. Who’s your favorite and least favorite LIB star so far? Sound off below!
