Terence Stamp, Esteemed Actor and Superman Villain General Zod, Dead at 87
Terence Stamp, most famous for his role as General Zod in the late 1970 era Superman Film, has died this morning, today. It’s truly a tragedy that he’s gone. May he rest in peace and whatever family he has left find peace again.
The Legendary Career of Terence Stamp: From Billy Budd to Iconic Franchises
He was born 1927, went to school for drama, which makes sense, considering his career, then he shot to fame. His first ever acting role was in the 1960s in Billy Budd. His career spiraled upwards after 1976 and he was supposed to come back to the franchise Priscilla, the director confirmed last year. Which is even more of a tragedy since he wasn’t even able to finish the movie. Although, the movie could be used as a potential tribute to Terence Stamp. We’ll just have to see how that all plays out. Now, let’s talk about all the franchises he’s been a part of over the years.
Terence Stamp Acting Roles
Stamps Acting Roles Include:
- General Zod in Superman and Superman 2
- Last Night in Soho
- Bitter Harvest
- Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
- Murder Mystery
- The Art of the Steal
- Get Smart
- Yes Man
- September Dawn
And many, many more, which makes sense considering Terence Stamp’s six-decade career (that’s a long time.) We are sorry to lose him both as a person and as an actor.
Overall, Terence Stamp has had a long, amazing career for his entire life and his family must be very proud of him. If I had a kid with a career like that, I’d be very proud of them.
Everyone who’s a fan of his work will be sad to see him go, and even if you barely know who he is, you can at least recognize his talent and how much he’s done for the movie industry.
