Jeff Garcia, Iconic Voice of Sheen in “Jimmy Neutron,” Dead at 50
Comedian and voice actor Jeff Garcia passed away on Wednesday at the age of 50. Garcia was best known as the voice of Sheen Estevez in the animated movie “Jimmy Neutron” and the spin-off animated television series that it spawned. His family confirmed his death on social media later in the day.
Garcia’s Recent Health Struggles
2025 had been a rough year for Garcia. He suffered a brain aneurysm this past spring, causing him to fall and hit his head. Though he recovered from the aneurysm, he suffered a stroke a few weeks ago. Garcia was then hospitalized in late November with pneumonia. The comedian was discharged from the hospital, but then his health took a turn for the worse again on Monday. He returned to the hospital that night with trouble breathing, and on Tuesday, the actor suffered a collapsed lung and was placed on life support. He was taken off life support late Tuesday night and was pronounced dead early Wednesday.
Jeff Garcia’s Career
Garcia got his start doing stand-up comedy in Southern California in the early ’90s. He branched out to acting in the mid-nineties with appearances on” Caroline in the City” and “Dangerous Minds.” Garcia soon got his big break when he landed the voice role of Sheen Estevez in the Jimmy Neutron movies, video games, and television shows, including his own spin-off show, “Planet Sheen.” His role in the movie “The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius” won him a 2004 Annie Award for Outstanding Voice Acting in an Animated Television Production.
He had numerous other voice roles, including parts in “Barnyard,” both “Rio” movies, and both “Happy Feet” movies. His final film role was a part in the 2024 Paul Rodriguez live-action comedy “Holy Cash.” Most recently, Garcia had guested on an episode of “Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen” on CBS and Paramount+.
