New Rick and Morty Season 8 To Be Season Great!

Rick and Morty Season 8

Eight seasons in, and Rick and Morty is still going strong. Changes have happened, of course, throughout all the past seasons, but people still love to see the depressed and goofy scientist and his kinda, pervy and good-hearted grandson go on their adventures. There are still a lot of questions left unanswered in the fandom circles when it comes to this show. In a preview clip released recently, we do get a taste of what Rick and Morty have been up to.

Rick and Morty Season 8: Portal to the Past

Rick and Morty was created by Justin Roiland originally for the website Channel 101 as a parody of Back to the Future characters Doc Brown and Marty. Years later, the characters would evolve into Rick and Morty Season 8, with their own show created by Roiland and Dan Harmon (Community, Harmon Town Podcast, Harmon Quest, etc.). Each season brings laughter and a compelling story as Rick and Morty deal with evil versions of themselves or even deal with everyday life.

Roiland would voice Rick and Morty until 2023, when he was facing some pretty heavy legal issues that caused Adult Swim to cut ties with the show’s creator. Since then, Rick and Morty have been voiced by Ian Cardoni (Rick) and Harry Belden (Morty), respectively. Rick and Morty also had many different anime specials, which led to the Rick and Morty: Anime series.

Season 7 was a bit of a rough spot due to the changes in voices for our main characters, and sometimes, it just didn’t hit right. That being said, it’s still pretty fun to watch with some standout episodes like “How Poopy Got His Poop Back,” “Unmortricken,” & “Fear No Mort”. So, what is expected of Rick and Morty season 8? Well, the show is expected to return to form with a blend of humor,  existential dread, and plenty of interdimensional fun for all. We will also see how Rick and Morty’s relationship has evolved, along with side characters like Summer, Beth, and Jerry getting more screen time.

Rick and Morty Season 8 is set to premiere on May 25th, 2025, and will stream on MAX and Hulu September 1st, 2025

What are you guys looking forward to in this season of Rick and Morty Season 8?
