Alright, you know the drill by now! The newest actors were just released for Panache, Silka, Wellie, and Ampert. So, let’s talk about them and what makes this announcement so special. The reason this announcement is different from the rest is that it’s a four-in-one announcement, which we haven’t seen before! It also means that this article is going to be formatted a little differently.
Background On The Characters
Now, let’s talk about the characters that were announced specifically! We have one set of tributes from district one, a tribute from district three, and a tribute from district six. Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses.
Wellie is the softest of the four announced, definitely the weakest, yet she’s so adorable, it just makes her death even sadder. Panache and Silka are the strongest out of the four, since they’re from district one, a career district.
Career districts are definitely more favored than the other districts; districts one, two, and four are technically considered career districts. Now, that just leaves Ampert, the son of Beetee Latier. With that foundation in mind, let’s dig into the full announcement.
District One Actors Revealed
The announcement can be found here, where it always is. Panache’s actor is Jhaleil Swaby, who was in the Zombies movie in 2018. Some people aren’t happy about him being cast as Panache due to the connotations it has. Think about it, a black man playing an aggressive character who kills a white little girl and an Asian boy. It’s not really a great look. However, he’ll still do a good job.
Next on the list is Silka. Her actress is Laura Marcus. Laura, admittedly, hasn’t been in much; she’s been in seven franchises thus far, but despite being a relative unknown, hopefully, she will do good. Now it’s time for District Three and District Six.
Amper and Wellie Actors Revealed
Now it’s time for Ampert, his actor is Percy Daggs IV. Which makes sense, as he looks really similar to Beetee’s actor; as he should, since he’s playing Beetee’s son. Percy hasn’t been in much of anything so far. However, that hasn’t stopped anyone before, and perhaps it will help kickstart his career.
Last and certainly not least is Wellie, the smallest and cutest of the four. Her actress is Rada Rae. Like the others, she also hasn’t been in much, but it’s nice giving unknown actors and actresses a chance.
