Netflix’s British Horror Documentary ‘Fred and Rose West’ Creates Evil Awakening

Fred and Rose West

Unfortunately, and tragically, you sometimes hear about horrific murders. Some will stick with you for a while, often because of the manner in which it was done, the sheer facts of the case, or because of who committed it. Occasionally, a pair of people (a couple) will be responsible for a murder, or for many, like in this case. One of Great Britain’s most horrific serial killer pairs is Fred and Rose West.

Fred and Rose West’s Background

Fred and Rose West were some of Britain’s most notorious serial killers. They were a married couple who murdered over a dozen people, spanning from 1967 through 1987. During this 20-year timeframe, they murdered several of their female relatives and young girls. Most of them were teenagers up to their early 20s.

The sick, depraved couple would torture and abuse their own children, creating a “house of horrors.” Their victims would be sexually abused and then killed. Fred and Rose West were finally arrested in 1994, after much evidence came to light. Their surviving children have spoken about the horrific abuse they endured at the hands of their parents for years.

Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story

Netflix has just released a documentary on Fred and Rose West. The documentary features interviews with victims’ families and goes through the timeline of the crimes perpetrated by Fred and Rose. This three-part series will also focus on how the police discovered the remains of Fred and Rose West’s victims.

Several other documentaries have been done on serial killer couple Fred and Rose West over the past decade. This Netflix one delves deeper and shows new evidence.

A Few Final Thoughts

Although the subject matter is unpleasant, it is usually very interesting to watch these documentaries. Not only does it honor the victims, but you might even become an amateur armchair sleuth, just from discovering clues. And hey – if you happen to help solve a crime, that’s not always a bad thing.
