Velocity Music Festival Announces Headliners For 2026 Field Of Dreams Event
Organizers for the Velocity Music Festival have announced the headliners for the 2026 event. The festival held its inaugural event this year at the “Field of Dreams” movie site located just outside of Dyersville, Iowa. The two-day event featured headliners Tim McGraw and Nickelback, drawing more than 35,000 people. The 2026 festival will expand to three days and will take place September 4 through September 6. Here is a look at the headliners announced late last week.
Friday, September 4: Shinedown

Shinedown will headline the opening night of the 2026 Velocity Music Festival. The platinum-selling Jacksonville-based hard rock band has had a record 21 singles top the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. Known for hits like “Save Me,” “Second Chance,” “A Symptom of Being Human,” and their cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man,” Shinedown has garnered 13 iHeartRadio Music Award nominations over the years. The band won in the categories of Rock Artist of the Year and Rock Song of the Year in 2025. Shinedown released their latest single, “Searchlight,” on November 18.
Saturday, September 5: Carrie Underwood
Saturday’s lineup will be headlined by country superstar Carrie Underwood. After winning the fourth season of “American Idol,” Underwood went on to record eight chart-topping studio albums and 19 number-one singles. She is one of the most decorated musicians in country music, having won 187 major awards in her 20-year career. From “Jesus, Take the Wheel” to “Before He Cheats” to “Good Girl,” even if you are not a country fan, you have probably heard her music.
Sunday, September 6: Creed
Creed will headline the final night of the festival. The Grammy and American Music Award winners have reunited again and released a new greatest hits collection in September titled “The Best of Creed.” The band is best known for rock smashes like “My Own Prison,” “Higher,” and “With Arms Wide Open.” They have 12 Top Ten rock singles and two number-one albums to their credit. Creed will release a new live album entitled Live in San Antonio on November 28.
