Taylor Swift has officially canceled her upcoming shows as part of her ERA’s Tour in Vienna, Austria, due to the threat posed by a suspected ISIS-connected plot to attack the stadium, according to developing reports.
Barracuda Music, an event organizer in the city, took to social
media to post an update about the sudden developments: “With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety.”
In addition, Swift’s website has already informed her fans of the cancellation, with a notice that appears to reflect it. Upon visiting the Vienna shows, under the “tour” tab, visitors can now find a note accompanying the date and location information.
The site now displays the message: “All tickets will be automatically refunded within the next 10 business days.”
Although the singer hasn’t chimed in on social media at this moment, more details will soon follow. It was noted and reported beforehand that Swift was scheduled to perform at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for the international leg of the Eras Tour throughout the weekend.

Earlier today, officials said two men were arrested Wednesday in connection with allegations of plans to attack major events in Vienna, including Swift’s future concerts. One of the men who were arrested by Austrian federal and state police was a 19-year-old who is alleged to have pledged his allegiance to ISIS. Vienna State Police Director Franz Ruf and Police Chief Gerhard Pürstl confirmed this during a press conference today.
Authorities also confirmed that the two suspects had undertaken “concrete preparatory measures” for a terrorist attack after police suspected explosives were stored at the home of the suspect in Ternitz. Police also said that chemical substances were secured at the home of the 19-year-old and were being evaluated, according to a report from the Associated Press.
“From the current standpoint of the investigation we assume that the target of the attack were events in the Vienna region,” police continued.
