Megan Thee Stallion- “Lover Girl”
Megan Thee Stallion is in her soft girl era with her new single “Lover Girl”. If anyone could do it, Megan could make an ass shaking love song for the ladies in love. “Lover Girl” is obviously inspired by her boo, NBA player Klay Thompson, as she sings “My man, my man, my man, my baby, my baby.”
The “Mamushi” rapper also mentions their sex life and how he treats her like a lady. “Lover Girl” samples the girl group Total’s hit song “Kissing You” and a New Orleans bounce mashup. The visual for the song has social media in an uproar, with people wanting to be Megan’s chair. The black and white video clips of the “Big Ole Freak” rapper dancing in her Cupid costume remind the world that Klay is a lucky man.
Tyla- “Chanel”
If you love your girl, put her in Chanel duh. Tyla’s new single, “Chanel,” was released this weekend, and it’s Tyla’s usual hip-rolling island vibe, but with an edge. The visual released for the song “Chanel is giving Tyla entering her “Bad Girl Riri” era.
The chorus is very catchy, with an enthralled drum beat that has the potential to be a summer jam in 2026 or a viral sound to attach to social media reels. If “Chanel” sounds familiar, Young Miami accused Tyla of stealing the song and changing the lyrics after she played it for her.
Hayley Williams- “Good Ol’ Days”
Before cuffing season officially starts, you might need to figure out if it’s worth working out with an old flame. Hayley Williams’ new single, “Good Ol’ Days,” is for you.
The song has a tone of pop-rock and R&B, and features a lovely voicemail from Hayley Williams’s grandfather. Kelani teamed up with some R&B heavyweights for the remix of her ladies’ anthem “Folded.” The lineup includes the “vocal bible” Brandy, Toni Braxton, JoJo, Mario, Tank, and Ne-Yo.
The Folded Homage Pack features six songs, each with an artist’s unique spin on the song. The most anticipated collaboration is the version featuring Tank. Tank’s verse went viral after the “Folded” challenge, in which different artists recorded their verses to the song’s beat.
