My Chemical Romance: Black Parade Tour Details

My Chemical Romance

The American alternative rock band, My Chemical Romance, has recently announced a new music tour called ‘Long Live: The Black Parade Tour’. The news can be found on their social media, in several news articles, and through recent videos on their YouTube channel.

So far, the most important detail that should be known about the tour is that it will be taking place next year in 2025, during the summer. It’s not exactly ideal for some gothic, alternative, emo, scene, punk, or any other fans who enjoy styling in black and leather, but it will be worth it to hear the entire Black Parade Album.

How the Band Began

My Chemical Romance began in New Jersey and was inspired by the infamous events of September 11th, 2001. Gerard Way can be thanked for this as he witnessed the incident from a distance. Unexpectedly, the inspiration was less morbid but rather eye-opening, as his dreams were set towards something else until he saw the event. Many of the people he knew had friends or relatives who died that day and with being surrounded by death, he realized he wanted his life to be more meaningful.

Their most popular song, ‘Welcome to The Black Parade’, was motivational. It was slightly different from the traditional rock music played back then. Where traditional rock music would embrace the darkness, ‘Welcome to The Black Parade’ had depressing and dark themes. Yet, its motivational tune and lyrics focused on the ending of one’s life, leaving the pain behind. It technically lasted from 2001 to 2013, before the band members, Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Frank Lero, and Mikey Way, decided to reunite.

Black Parade Tour

My Chemical Romance will be reviving their album to perform at stadiums across the US in ten different cities. The tour dates scheduled for next year will range from July to September, from Seattle, Washington, to Tampa, Florida. Tickets have already begun selling on November 15th, 2024, and information on the openers for each of the ten concerts has also been listed along with the dates. Each opener will be special guests, particularly other famous bands and singer-songwriters, prepping for the My Chemical Romance “Long Live the Black Parade” tour next year.

The Album for the Tour

The entire tour will consist of every song from The Black Parade, and the band has created some incredible lore for the return of the album. The Black Parade was the third album produced by My Chemical Romance. It was first released in Europe on October 3rd, 2006 before the main song became available on YouTube in 2009. The story in the music video revolves around a dying patient who goes through the whole process of entering the afterlife. There is more to the story with the parade and triumphant music, following the music themes of a rock opera.

Now, following the album years later, as part of their tour announcement, My Chemical Romance released a video on YouTube. It is titled “Long Live”: The Black Parade North American Tour and was posted six days ago. The video and description include all the tour details along with dates, locations, and where to buy the tickets. The lore presented in the video is an epic story about a new dictator rising to power. There are heavy themes and inspirations from Russian styles. This new video has given some ideas that the band members are exploring new styles now.

Conclusion
