Tim Burton to Direct Lady Gaga’s New Wednesday Music Video for Spooky Fun
Lady Gaga and Tim Burton are two stars who aren’t afraid to flaunt their unique and often very weird styles. As such, a collaboration between them feels like it could be amazing. Well, we will finally know what that collaboration will be like when the music video for Lady Gaga’s song for Wednesday Season 2 debuts.
The Tim Burton-Directed Lady Gaga Video
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Gaga’s song for her guest appearance on Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2 will include a Tim-Burton-directed music video. Burton has been a guest director on Wednesday, directing four episodes from Season 1 and four from Season 2. Gaga’s guest appearance in Season 2 Part 2 is set to premiere on September 3. As Variety reported, her song for the series is titled “Death Dance,” and it will debut next month.
What We Know About the “Death Dance” Music Video

The video for “Death Dance” was reportedly filmed in Mexico. As Variety reported, “Burton had been spotted on the Island of the Dolls in Xochimilco, south of Mexico City, which is purportedly haunted and features hundreds of decaying dolls strung across trees and structures.” That seems like the perfect spot to film a spooky music video. It might be the sort of place where Wednesday Addams would love to hang out.
Who Does Lady Gaga Play In Wednesday?
Gaga will play Rosaline Rotwood, who is, according to Netflix’s official character description, a “mysterious and enigmatic . . . teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.” It is unknown whether or not she will actually sing “Death Dance” in the show, but if she did, it would give the singer a chance to unleash the creepy side of her flamboyant nature. In any case, fans of both Gaga and Wednesday are eagerly anticipating her appearance. They should also anticipate the music video, since it is sure to be a treat with Burton relishing in his taste for the weird.
