Kylie Jenner Enters the Music Scene With “Fourth Strike” — Her Powerful Debut Single

Kylie Jenner made her musical debut with the release of “Fourth Strike,” a collaboration with the Los Angeles pop duo Terror Jr, on October 14, 2025. With its sultry electro-pop vibe, the track’s production, was handled by KSHMR. The song serves as a sequel to Terror Jr’s 2016 track “3 Strikes,” which was featured in a Kylie Cosmetics promotional video.

The song’s lyrics, particularly Jenner’s verse, reflect themes of toxic, cyclical relationships and self-aware indulgence. This is heard with the repetition of the phrase “on my fourth strike”, symbolizing persistence despite repeated mistakes. Her performance, delivered in a sultry, breathy tone, includes lines like “One strike, two strike, let me get the mood right” and “Do it on purpose just to see how it ends”.

The song also marks the revival of her iconic “King Kylie” alter ego. The bold, edgy persona was first popularized in 2015 through Snapchat. As King Kylie, Jenner created content clad in colorful wigs, and a multitude of makeup looks.

Kylie Jenner’s Introduction to Superstardom Happened at an Early Age

Jenner first gained public attention at the age of ten when she began appearing on the E! reality television series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which aired from 2007 to 2021. She later starred in the Hulu series The Kardashians, which premiered in 2022. Jenner launched her first major business venture, the cosmetics line Kylie Lip Kits, in 2015, which was renamed Kylie Cosmetics the following year.

The brand achieved rapid success. In 2019, she founded her skincare brand, Kylie Skin, which expanded into international markets, including Europe, through retailers such as, Douglas.

The release of “Fourth Strike”, was accompanied by a teaser video titled “Glosses Part 2: King Kylie Returns”. The video featured Jenner being escorted in handcuffs, and eventually being bailed out by her mother, Kris Jenner. The Colin Tilley directed video continues the narrative from the original 2016 Glosses campaign. The campaign was released exclusively on Snapchat before debuting on YouTube.

The song and video are tied to the launch of the “King Kylie 2.0” cosmetics collection, which includes relaunched lip kits in discontinued shades, an eye-shadow palette, and a highlighter. The bold new collection is set to release on October 18, 2025.
