Bon Jovi Comes Back Strong: ‘Forever Tour’ Launch and Big-Name Album Release
Bon Jovi has officially announced their “Forever Tour” for 2026. This marks their return to live touring after a four-year hiatus. The break was due to founder and frontman Jon Bon Jovi’s vocal cord surgery in 2022.
His journey was chronicled in the 2024 Hulu docuseries, Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story. The tour will kick off in July 2026 with four consecutive shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City. These shows will be followed by three international dates in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The New Album Features Multiple Surprise Guests
The tour supports the band’s latest album, Forever and its upcoming collaborative “Legendary Edition”. The album will feature a multitude of artists including, Bruce Springsteen, Lainey Wilson, and Avril Lavigne. Jon Bon Jovi has expressed gratitude for the patience of fans and the band, stating he is “ready and excited” to return to the stage after years of vocal recovery.
The Band’s Road to Success
In 1974, Jon Bon Jovi began his music career forming his first band Raze. In 1983, the Perth Amboy, New Jersey native formed the iconic Bon Jovi with bassist Alec John Such, drummer Tico Torres, keyboardist David Bryan, and guitarist Richie Sambora. The band achieved widespread success with their 1986 album Slippery When Wet, which sold over 28 million copies worldwide.
The blockbuster album featured timeless hit singles like, “You Give Love a Bad Name” and “Livin’ on a Prayer”. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2006. Additionally, Jon Bon Jovi was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2009. To date, Bon Jovi has released 16 studio albums with his band, along with two solo albums, and has sold more than 130 million records globally. This has cemented them as one of the best-selling American rock bands of all time.
Bon Jovi Today
The current lineup of Bon Jovi consists of original members Jon Bon Jovi on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, David Bryan on keyboards and piano, and Tico Torres on drums and percussion. New additions to the band include, Phil X on lead guitar and talk box, Hugh McDonald on bass and backing vocals, Everett Bradley on percussion and backing vocals, and John Shanks on rhythm guitar and backing vocals.
This configuration has been in place since 2024, with Phil X and Hugh McDonald joining the band in 2016. This change occurred following the departures of lead guitarist Richie Sambora and bassist Alec John Such, respectively. Such tragically passed away from a heart attack in 2022.
Tickets for the Madison Square Garden shows will be available through an artist presale. The presale will start at 10 a.m. ET on Monday, October 27, 2025. Fans are required to register at bonjovi.com.
