Demi Lovato Confirms Joyful Ninth Album ‘It’s Not That Deep’, Reveals Release Date

Demi Lovato’s ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep, is set to be released on October 24, 2025. The album, which follows her 2022 rock-influenced record Holy Fvck, marks a significant shift back to dance-pop and electronic sounds. Lovato describes the shift as a “celebratory dance-pop” album meant for “late nights and dancefloors”. It’s Not That Deep, will feature 11 tracks, including the lead single “Fast,” released on August 1, 2025, and the second single “Here All Night,” released on September 12, 2025.

The album’s cover art, which was shared on Instagram, features Lovato nude and covered by a pink dress on a hanger. This image was set against a bustling scene with various people going about their day.

The album is executive-produced by Zhone, who has also worked with artists such as Kesha and Kylie Minogue . Lovato has cited her recent happiness and marriage to Jordan Lutes, as key inspirations for the album’s lighter, more joyful tone. She described the music as a perfect reflection of where she is today, emphasizing a freeing experience to let loose and have fun. This era also follows Lovato’s directorial debut with the documentary Child Star (2024). During this time, she considered retiring from music, but later fell back in love with it.

Lovato’s Humble Beginnings Continue to Inspire Her Evolution

Demi Lovato rose to prominence playing Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel musical film Camp Rock (2008) and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010). Her debut single, “This Is Me” from the first film’s soundtrack, was a duet with Joe Jonas. The song peaked at number nine on the US Billboard Hot 100. After signing with Hollywood Records, Lovato released her debut studio album, Don’t Forget (2008), which debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200. Her follow-up album, Here We Go Again (2009), debuted at number one in the US.

She has since released several successful albums, including Unbroken (2011), Demi (2013), Confident (2015), Tell Me You Love Me (2017), Dancing with the Devil… the Art of Starting Over (2021), and Holy Fvck (2022). The latter debuted at number one on multiple Billboard charts.

To date, Demi Lovato has sold over 24 million records in the United States. She has also earned numerous accolades. These honors include, a Grammy Award nomination, MTV Video Music Award, 14 Teen Choice Awards, five People’s Choice Awards, and a GLAAD Vanguard Award for her LGBTQ+ advocacy.
