Top 3 Songs on the Billboard Hot 100: Week of 10/5

Shaboozey. #1 on Top Billboard 100 10/5

It’s deja vu this week for the Billboard Top 3. Reigning artists, Sabrina Carpenter, Post Malone feat. Morgan Wallen, and Shaboozey are still holding steadfast at the top. Has anything changed? What’s going on for these artists this week? Are any of them in danger of losing their slots in the upcoming weeks? We’ve got all this and more for you, so read on!

Top Billboard 3: Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter‘s beloved hit, “Espresso” remains in the number 3 slot this week. With the young star amidst a lengthy tour right now, it’s safe to say her popularity isn’t going anywhere. Aside from “Espresso” still sitting in the top three, Carpenter still holds two other hits on the Billboard Top 10. Her ultra-popular track, “Please Please Please” moved up the ranks this week from number 9 to number 8, while her album opener, “Taste” has fallen to number 9.

Interestingly enough, all of the songs between “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” have stayed in the same positions as last week. That means Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and Teddy Swims could swoop into the number three slot and change the game. If you’re still in love with “Espresso”, though, and you’d like to see the short and sweet queen herself in New England, Carpenter is playing live in Hartford, CT, Boston, MA, Baltimore, MD, and Philadelphia, PA this week. Tickets are pricy, but not everyone can be in the Billboard Top 3. She’s worth it.

Top Billboard 2: I Had Some Help by Post Malone Feat. Morgan Wallen

Country music still dominates the Top 2 Billboard spot this week with Post Malone and Morgan Wallen‘s, “I Had Some Help”. The spiteful little tune about thinking the ex should take a little more credit for a breakup still reigns for its relatability to fans. The lyrics are real, as we’ve all more or less encountered someone who is just too prideful to admit fault. This mix of relatable realness and Malone and Wallen’s silky voices keeps fans engaged and looking forward to “I Had Some Help” on the radio.

If you’re a huge fan of the versatility of Post Malone’s music, he is also doing some shows this week. He’ll be playing live in Virginia Beach, VA, Raleigh, NC, and Charlotte, NC this week leading into next week’s Billboard refresh on Tuesday. Morgan Wallen is playing Tampa, FL this week before heading to NC later in October. We seem to be seeing a pattern here. It’s safe to say that the live performances bring in a wider audience and keep established fans engaged. Maybe that’s why our Top 2 and 3 artists are hanging on!

Top Billboard 1: Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozey

Congratulations to Shaboozey for holding on to the Billboard number 1 slot for the 12th week in a row. His song, “Bar Song (Tipsy)” doesn’t seem to be dropping in popularity as the relatively new star rises. Emulating the 2004 hit, “Tipsy” by J-Kwon, the track brings in new country fans and hip-hop enthusiasts nostalgic for the 20-year-old classic. Shaboozey’s fame has skyrocketed him into the mainstream, leading to the release of a full-length album in May, Where I’ve Been Isn’t Where I’m Going.

If you’re a fan of genre blending, particularly country and hip-hop, you’ll love what Shaboozey has to offer. His discography outside of “Bar Song” is rather impressive, with a style that is all his own. As for seeing the Billboard-dominating artist on tour, Shaboozey will be in Nashville, TN this week and Fort Worth TX, Los Angeles, CA, and Sacramento, CA in the coming weeks.

In Conclusion

The Billboard Top 3 tracks haven’t shifted this week, leaving Carpenter, Malone, and Shaboozey on top for another seven days. The artists are hard at work on tour promoting their new music and building their fan bases. Who’s to say when these hits will drop from the top 3? There’s no clear indication based on the top 20 right now, so only time will tell. In the meantime, you can check out “Espresso”, “I Had Some Help”, and “Bar Song (Tipsy)” on your favorite streaming service.
