Akon and Ne-Yo Announce Massive 2026 “Nights Like This” Global Tour

Akon and Ne-Yo are the next duo to announce an upcoming global tour. The “Nights Like This” tour will run from late April through the end of August, performing over 50 shows across North America, with some stops in Europe. The “Play Hard” artists both have long-standing careers spanning over 20 years and are multi-Grammy winners. Akon and Ne-Yo are the latest concerts to bring a Y2K nostalgia party for the summer.

Two Legends, Akon and Ne-Yo; One Timeline

Early this week, Live Nation posted on social media that the “Night Like This” tour will feature Akon and Ne-Yo, accompanied by a video that gives fans a taste of what to expect. First, the video starts with the opening of a Western-themed dive bar, with the tour title at the top and both artists in a face-off stance.

Fast forward to the “Lazy Love” artist flashing through time with hit songs in the background referencing the video, for example, when “So Sick” played, the reference was the tan beanie with the matching fur coat, and for “Miss Independent,” he dressed in the signature black suit and transitioned from the baseball cap to the fedora.

For Akon, the musical timeline starts right afterwards with the first outfit, an orange prison jumpsuit with a black durag, referencing the hit song “Locked Up,” and he transitions into a suit for the song “Right Now (Na Na Na).” The video ends with both artists facing off again, mics holstered, walking out to a stadium crowd.

Global Tour, Throwback Energy

The first show is April 24 in Dublin, Ireland, with stops in multiple cities in the UK, Paris, France, and Amsterdam, the Netherlands, before flying back to North America. The North American leg of the tour will kick off in Canada in June, and the duo will make their way down south, with the final show ending in Inglewood, California.

The concert setup, as depicted in the promotional video, has the artist performing their hit songs back-to-back, taking fans on a musical journey through their timeline while partying like it’s the early 2000s.

Live Nation’s description of the “Nights Like This” tour is a nostalgia rush for longtime fans and fresh excitement to new listeners. From slow jams to club anthems, every night is built to feel like a throwback party and a celebration. The cowboy rodeo theme is the part that is skeptical in the video because most Akon and Ne-Yo videos involve nightlife partying in places like Miami with girls in swimsuits, not boots.
