Leon Thomas has had an explosive year so far. He released his debut album, MUTT, and achieved his first Billboard Hot 100 entry with the single of the same name. The “Dirt On My Shoes” singer will embark on his Mutts Don’t Heel World Tour starting October 30th in Dallas, Texas.

But can he make another hit with his new song “Just How You Are”? In the new single “Just How You Are,” Thomas pairs his vocals with a funky, upbeat. The new song will be on the “Snooze” songwriter’s next EP ‘Pholks’

Karri: “Go Featuring Kehlani

The wildcard single this week is Karri featuring Kehlani, “Go”. The song samples Bay Area rapper E-40’s “Tell Me When to Go”. When the beat drops, you might think it is another TikTok dance song, but Karri’s smooth vocals instantly transform the mood into a laid-back love song.

Karri is an up-and-coming R&B artist from San Francisco, California. The artist’s style of music can be compared to early Drake from the Views, Nothing Was the Same, and Take Care era.

Kali Uchis – “Pretty Promises Feat. Mariah The Scientist

After the recent success of their song “Is It A Crime,” Kali Uchis & Mariah The Scientist are back. This time, Kali Uchis is the headliner, featuring Mariah The Scientist on the new single “Pretty Promises.”

Uchi’s signature melodic sound is hypnotic as the ladies serenade a lover about keeping “Pretty Promises”. Spoiler alert: the promise is not to break up or break each other’s hearts.

Jason Derulo – “Who Hurt You”

Looking at the song title, you might think the song is a sad country or R&B song, but it’s quite the opposite. The pop dance song is the remedy for getting over a broken heart.

Derulo sings, “You need some healing. Come get this love you were missing tonight. I know the feeling. Point at the one that you cut out your life

The electric upbeat sound will definitely get your feet moving, and forget about “Who Hurt You”. This is the second release from his upcoming album, joining the song “You DJ, I’ll Drive,” which brings back the sound of 2010’s pop.
