The Moza R5 racing wheel bundle is on sale at Best Buy for $349.99, $30 off its listed $379.99 price, with free shipping. The deal was live on Best Buy’s site as of Thursday, Oct. 1, and covers the PC-only bundle with the R5 wheelbase, steering wheel and pedals.

The R5 brings direct-drive force feedback to sim racing at an entry-level price. In a direct-drive wheel, the steering wheel mounts straight onto the motor shaft, so there are no belts or gears to dull the feedback or add lag.

The wheelbase puts out a peak of 5.5 Nm of torque, according to Moza Racing’s product page. It uses an aviation-grade aluminum alloy housing and a 15-bit encoder, and it supports up to 2,700 degrees of steering rotation.

The bundled ES steering wheel measures 11 inches across, with an aluminum alloy frame, a microfiber leather rim, 22 buttons and a 10-LED shift light strip. It attaches with a quick-release system.

The SR-P Lite pedals are a two-pedal set (no clutch) built from high-strength steel plate with Hall sensors, plus adjustable spacing and height. The box also includes a table clamp, power adapter, USB cable and tools, Moza says.

How the deal compares

Best Buy sells the smaller Moza R3 bundle, which tops out at 3.9 Nm, for $279.99, so the R5 adds about 40 percent more torque for $70 more. A newer R5 Pro bundle is listed at $399.

The R5 bundle launched at $599, and it has been discounted before: PC Gamer flagged it at $379 for Prime Day in June. Best Buy’s $349.99 price is $29 below that Prime Day deal. PC Gamer’s reviewer gave the R5 a 90 percent score and said it had not let him down in regular use.

Is the Moza R5 racing wheel right for you?

The R5 bundle works with Windows PCs only, so PlayStation and Xbox players will need a different wheel. It suits PC racing sims and arcade racers alike, and PC Gamer pointed to “Forza Horizon 6” as a good reason to pick one up.

Prices and stock can change quickly. Check Best Buy’s listing before ordering.
