Tylor Chase Incident: “Ned’s Declassified” Actor Daniel Curtis Lee Reveals Wild Story

Lately, former “Ned’s Declassified” actor Tylor Chase is going viral and not for his acting. Earlier this year, fans ran into Chase on the streets of Riverside, California, looking disheveled and living on the streets. Citizens began to give Chase money and items to help him adjust to the streets, but one person went a step further. “Ned’s Declassified” alumni Daniel Curtis Lee sought out his old friend, picked him up, and checked him into a motel, and what happens next is unthinkable.

Helping a Troubled Castmate

Despite warnings from Tylor Chase’s mother, Daniel Curtis Lee, who played Cookie alongside Chase, he thought he was doing the brotherly thing, despite the warning from the “Good Time Max” star’s mother.

To help his old castmate, Lee gave him a motel room to be safe from the upcoming weather. On camera, Chase appeared grateful and happy, but not even after 24 hours, the room was trashed.

The “Zeke and Luther” star made a video on TikTok Christmas morning to give an update on what happened in the motel room and also asked for help from authorities and the system for people with mental health and drug abuse issues.

When Help Isn’t Enough

In the video posted on social media, Lee acknowledged that the motel management informed him the door to the room was wide open, the microwave was in the tub, and the refrigerator had been turned over.

Daniel Curtis Lee goes on to say that he tried to get Tylor Chase checked into a proper facility, but the lack of support from authorities made it unsuccessful. He also explained that it is hard to help someone dealing with Chase issues without long-term professional help. The “Ned’s Declassified” actor went on to criticize the California Care Act for its lack of structure and called for the creation of a system that helps families affected by it.

Tylor Chase Family Speaks on Crisis

After Tylor Chase was discovered on the streets, fans rushed to his rescue and even started a GoFundMe page. But his mother quickly shut it down because money would not help due to the severity of his issues and poor money management.

In a statement to the New York Post, the “Everybody Hates Chris” actor’s father confirmed his son’s mental illnesses, saying his son suffers from “serious mental health issues for more than a decade, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, compounded by substance abuse.”
