Top 10 Movies To Watch This Week on Hulu | September 7-13, 2025
So youโre stuck in scrolling purgatory again, huh? Endlessly thumbing through Hulu, hoping something jumps out. Weโve been there. Thatโs why we pulled together the Top 10 Movies you would actually want to watch this weekโno fluff, no filler. Whether you’re into thrillers, rom-coms, or indie gems, thereโs something worth hitting play on. Hereโs your movie cheat sheet for September 7-13, 2025โbecause your time is too valuable for another โmehโ movie night.
1. Blood & Myth (2025)

True crime meets tribal legend.
Set in a remote Alaska Native village, this new docuseries unpacks a string of brutal crimes that mightโor might notโbe connected to an ancient Iรฑupiat myth. Itโs part whodunit, part cultural deep dive, led by storyteller James Dommek Jr., who returns to his childhood hometown to investigate. Produced by the team behind Welcome to Earth and City of Ghosts, itโs haunting, atmospheric, and deeply human. If you like The Keepers or Wild Crime, this oneโs for you.
2. World War Z (2013)

Zombies. Planes. Brad Pitt. Go.
When a global zombie outbreak hits, a former UN investigator (Pitt) has to race across the globeโfrom South Korea to Israel to Cardiffโto find the source. Based (loosely) on Max Brooksโ bestseller, itโs a surprisingly tight, globe-hopping action flick with way more planes and panic than gore. $540 million at the box office, a literal wall of zombies in Jerusalem, and one of the tensest airplane scenes of the decade.
3. John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)

The Baba Yaga goes international.
Johnโs back, still mad, and now fully committed to taking down the High Table. Clocking in at almost three hours, this installment is a globe-trotting, body-count-maxing ballet of violence, with set pieces in Osaka, Berlin, and a final standoff in Paris thatโll leave you breathless. Keanuโs still doing 90% of the stunts, Donnie Yen is an instant fan favorite, and the cinematography? Gorgeous chaos.
4. Sisu (2022)

Gold. Action. Explosions. No notes.
In WWII-era Finland, a lone prospector stumbles upon goldโand then a squad of retreating Nazis tries to steal it. What follows is 90 minutes of gloriously gory, word-light action. Think Mad Max: Fury Road meets Inglourious Basterds, but with more landmines and a very pissed-off old man. It swept Finlandโs Jussi Awards, and honestly? Deserved.
5. The Other Woman (2014)

Three wronged women. One cheating dirtbag.
Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, and Kate Upton discover theyโre all dating the same guyโand team up to ruin his life. Thereโs champagne, sabotage, and one particularly vicious hair dye prank. Directed by Nick Cassavetes (The Notebook), itโs fluffy, fizzy, and still rewatchable as hell. Also, yesโthat Nicki Minaj cameo still goes.
6. The Devil Wears Prada (2006)

You have no idea how much this movie slaps.
Meryl Streep devours every scene as icy fashion editor Miranda Priestly, but the secret sauce here is Anne Hathawayโs glow-up and Emily Bluntโs bone-dry sarcasm. Based on the bestselling book, this workplace dramedy walks the line between aspirational and terrifying. Golden Globe wins, Oscar nods, and enough quotable moments to last you until Fashion Week.
7. Night at the Museum (2006)

History has never been this unhinged.
Ben Stiller plays a night guard at the Museum of Natural History whereโtwistโall the exhibits come to life after dark. Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt, Owen Wilson as a miniature cowboy, and Rami Malek (in his first big role!) as Pharaoh Ahkmenrah? Instant classic. And now that all three films just hit Hulu this month, itโs officially marathon time.
8. The Bayou (2025)

Swamp survival with teeth.
Set deep in the Louisiana wetlands, this new thriller follows a group of strangers who cross paths in the wrong place at the worst possible time. What starts as a murky Southern drama quickly turns into a full-on survival nightmare. Itโs gritty, regional, and rooted in that someone-is-watching-you-from-the-trees vibe. If you liked Deliverance or Wrong Turn, keep your boots on.
9. Mean Girls (2004)

Raise your hand if you’ve ever been personally victimized by Regina George.
Lindsay Lohan stars as Cady, a homeschooled teen who infiltrates the Plasticsโaka the most fetch girl clique in high school. Written by Tina Fey, directed by Mark Waters (Freaky Friday), and quoted endlessly ever since. Itโs got mathletes, โcool moms,โ and some of the best comedic timing of the 2000s. And with the Mean Girls musical remake still fresh in our minds, nowโs the perfect time to rewatch the original blueprint.
10. The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005)

Waxing. So much waxing.
Steve Carell plays Andy, a sweet-natured electronics store worker whoโsโฆ well, itโs right there in the title. With some help from his chaotic coworkers (Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Romany Malco), he tries to finally meet someone. Judd Apatowโs directorial debut is raunchy, ridiculous, and surprisingly full of heart. Jane Lynch steals every scene, and yes, youโll still laugh until you cry.
And Thatโs a Wrap
Whether youโre here for undead outbreaks (World War Z), revenge comedies (The Other Woman), or deep-cut docuseries (Blood & Myth), Hulu is doing the most this week. Want to laugh? Mean Girls and 40-Year-Old Virgin are right there. Craving chaos? John Wick and Sisu have you covered. Just want to vibe with a talking museum skeleton? Night at the Museum is always a good call.
Grab the remote, pick your poison, and enjoy the scroll.
