Legendary Vince Gilligan’s ‘Pluribus’ First Look Revealed — New Sci‑Fi Thriller Coming November 7

Pluribus, which most people recognize from e pluribus unum, means “out of many, one.” It’s also translated as “one out of many,” but, for the purpose here, it’s known as Vince Gilligan‘s new show. Pluribus has been in the making several years and stars Better Call Saul alum Rhea Seehorn. What’s this new show about? Let’s check out more regarding this new thriller that will drop in November.

Pluribus Plot

As usual, creator Vince Gilligan keeps his show details close to the vest. What we do know is that the series is currently being filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Gilligan says it is “sci-fi lite,“ likely meaning that the show will touch upon elements of mystery, science fiction-thriller, and dark comedy. Although it’s filmed in New Mexico, like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, it isn’t set in the same universe.

Gilligan spoke of the show’s plot:

Pluribus has no crime, and no methamphetamine. The world changes very abruptly in the first episode, and then it is quite different. It’s the modern world – the world we live in – but it changes very abruptly. And the consequences that that reaps hopefully provide drama for many, many episodes after that.

Pluribus Cast

Besides Seehorn, the show features Karolina Wydra and Carlos-Manuel Vesga.  Wydra is known for her portrayal of Violet on True Blood and for Izel on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Vesga is known for his role of Roberto on Contra el Tiempo. Guest stars slated to be on the series are Jennifer Bravo, Joanne Marie, Samba Schutte, and Miriam Shor.

Anything Else About Pluribus We Should Know?

The little information from IMDb states:

Follows the most miserable person on Earth and the one who must save the world from happiness.

Interesting – we’ll have yet to see where that leads and how this plays out. Knowing how Vince Gilligan writes, the series is sure to have plenty of twists. The show will be written by Gordon Smith and Allison Tatlock. Gilligan and Byron Howard direct.

How to Watch Pluribus

Two episodes will be released on Friday, November 7th on Apple TV+ then the first season will have nine episodes. It will run through Friday, December 26th. The second season has already been picked up for the show.

We’re happy to see Vince Gilligan teaming up once again with Rhea (pronounced Ray) Seehorn. The two combined their talents incredibly well in beloved series Better Call Saul. The only question left is will Bob Odenkirk guest star? We’ll have to watch Pluribus to find out!
