And gained her first big break writing the war comedy “Private Benjamin” alongside Charles Shyer. Afterward, Meyers and Shyer produced a series of movies, with the first being “Baby Boom.”
Meyers finally directed her first flick in 1998, the remake of Disney‘s “The Parent Trap.” From there, she established herself as a prominent Hollywood figure by producing more movies. Her success even led to her establishing her own production company, Waverly Films. And it led to her acquiring numerous nominations and winning just as many coveted awards.
