Hazbin Hotel Recap: Everything Important Before Season 2
Do you enjoy Disney-style musical numbers, adult situations, and media based on the Old Testament? Then look no further than the animated series known as “Hazbin Hotel.” Created by the talented Vivienne Medrano, the show got its start over on YouTube. And it’s now a sensation that has gripped the world and many of its citizens.
The show currently has one season filled with memorable characters and songs under its belt. And Season Two is right around the corner, much to the fans’ joy. Right now, we’re going to go over Season One before the next installment arrives.
Stay at the Hazbin Hotel
The story of “Hazbin Hotel” revolves around Hell becoming overcrowded with souls dubbed Sinner demons. And it’s led to Heaven fearing a potential uprising from the demonic inhabitants. Driven by their paranoia, the Shining Kingdom conducts an annual Extermination performed by its Exorcists. It’s indeed a gruesome event that leads to the annihilation of countless Sinners. Luckily, Charlie Morningstar, heir to Hell’s throne, has come up with a possible solution.
Charlie has taken a rundown hotel and refurbished it into a special rehabilitation center. With it, she hopes to redeem her people and help them enter Heaven. The only problem is that no Sinner believes and wants to participate in her idea. But her most significant opposition comes from Head Exorcist Adam and his second-in-command, Lute. Nevertheless, Charlie and her friends remain vigilant to make the princess’s dream come true.
Looking Back at Season One
Season One of “Hazbin Hotel” was filled to the brim with pivotal moments. We got to meet many colorful and prominent characters outside of the main cast. The list includes Vox, Velvette, Valentino, Lucifer Morningstar, Mimzy, Carmilla Carmine, Rosie, Sera, and Emily. In addition, we make discoveries like Charlie’s girlfriend Vaggie being a former Exorcist. And that the hotel’s bartender, Husk, used to be an Overlord before losing his power.
The season concludes with a massive battle between Adam’s Exorcist army and the Hazbin crew. In the end, Adam perishes after Nifty, the maid, stabs him from behind. And Sir Pentious, the hotel’s mad scientist, sacrifices himself and crosses the Pearly Gates. The biggest surprise, however, comes upon discovering that Lilith, Charlie’s mother, is residing in Heaven.
“Hazbin Hotel” Season Two is set to continue the story of these delightfully hellish characters. We’re also getting brand-new stories complete with never-before-seen characters and catchy musical numbers. And the best part is, we won’t have to wait too long for them. The season premiere is days away, so set your calendars and get your popcorn ready!
Final Thoughts
I adore the first season of “Hazbin Hotel” and everything about it. The characters, action, drama, and music hit all the right spots for me. My one minor gripe about it is that I wish it were longer. I felt there were more stories to tell before the climaxing arc. Still, what we got was great, and I wouldn’t change anything about it.
As you can guess, I am excited to see the upcoming Season Two! I look forward to seeing how Charlie and her friends tackle new challenges. And if you’re anything like me, you’ll do the same this Wednesday, October 29!
