Daredevil Born Again gets a season 3!

Daredevil Born Again Returns for Season 3 With Filming Starting in 2026

The saga of Daredevil: Born Again continues, as Season 2 will arrive on streaming next March, just nine months before Avengers: Doomsday. Additionally, the series has been officially greenlit for Season 3, which is set to start shooting next year. Yep, we will see Matt Murdock continue to brood in leather while fighting crime in the streets of New York City.

Daredevil Born Again Confirmation We’ve Been Waiting For

Brad Winderbaum of Marvel Studios confirmed on IGN that Daredevil Born Again was greenlit for Season 3, “In terms of Daredevil, yeah, we are greenlit for Season 3 and we start shooting next year.” Simple, straightforward, and refreshingly free of corporate doublespeak.

This news comes as a massive relief to fans who were left scratching their heads after IGN reported Charlie Cox’s recent comment at GalaxyCon, where he referred to Season 2 as the show’s “final season.” He said, “There’s something we do in this final season that doesn’t exist in the comics, so it’s unique to our show.” Talk about giving your audience a heart attack, Charlie. Thanks for that mini emotional breakdown.

Here’s the thing about Daredevil Born Again – it’s been through more identity crises than a teenager with access to TikTok. The show started as a complete reboot, then Marvel executives saw the early footage and basically said, “Hold up, this isn’t working.” Cue the emergency rewrites, reshoots, and a complete pivot back to honoring the Netflix series continuity.

The Confusion That Had Fans Spiraling

Season 1 showed the seams of this creative whiplash, but fans largely embraced it because, hey, at least we got our Daredevil back. The real test on Daredevil Born Again will be Season 2, which promises to be the first full season written with the Netflix legacy firmly in mind from day one.

Let’s be real here – Cox’s comment on Daredevil Born Again sent the fandom into full panic mode faster than you could say Wilson Fisk. After years of begging Marvel to bring back the Netflix version of Daredevil, the thought of only getting two seasons felt like a cosmic joke. Thankfully, Vincent D’Onofrio swooped in like the Kingpin of damage control, tweeting that there was a “good chance” of more episodes.

A user by the name of @watchingmoovies asked D’Onofrio on X, “s this true, I thought there is plans for s3?.” The actor then responded, “Good chance there will be a third.” Again,  a very simple and straigtforward answer without corporate doublespeak or non-responses. Turns out he wasn’t just being optimistic – he was being accurate. Who would’ve thought the guy who plays the villain would be the one delivering good news?

Final Thoughts

Daredevil Born Again getting renewed for Season 3 feels like Marvel finally understanding that sometimes, less is more. Not every superhero story needs to reshape reality or involve alternate dimensions. Sometimes you just need a blind lawyer who punches bad guys really, really well. The renewal gives the show breathing room to find its footing and deliver on the promise that had fans excited in the first place.
