Morgan Wallen’s ‘I’m The Problem’ Stays Atop Billboard 200 for Seven Straight Weeks

Morgan Wallen

Life just keeps getting better for country artist Morgan Wallen. He’s had a few issues in the past, particularly in 2020, when he had a couple of controversies, then later a chair-throwing incident, but he’s been making great music the whole time. This is especially evidenced with his latest album, satirically titled I’m the Problem. Is this the singer’s sly way of poking fun at himself?

Late 2024 saw the release of some preliminary singles from Morgan Wallen‘s fourth album, I’m the Problem. The whole album was released on May 16th, 2025. It has a whopping number of songs – 37 of them – including collaborations with fellow country singer, Eric Church, and crossover rap artist Post Malone.

The majority of songs on the album were written by Wallen himself. There are some frequent collaborations in writing with Ernest Keith Smith and Ryan Vojtesak, among others. The singles released included ‘Love Somebody,’ and ‘Just in Case,’ which were received very well.

Reception to Morgan Wallen’s Album

Prior to the mid-May release, five of Wallen’s singles came out. It proved to be a good strategy to prime his fans. Also in late 2024, Wallen was the recipient of the much-coveted CMA Award for Entertainer of the Year.

As with his previous three releases, I’m the Problem has soared to the top of the charts and has remained there for the past seven weeks. Billboard’s 200 says that the album has 173,000 units earned, making it the highest total for an album in its seventh week on the charts. This is the largest number since Adele’s 25, which earned 194,000 in its seventh week – in 2016.
