Monster Hunter is finally getting a mobile game that doesn’t compromise on what makes the series work. TiMi Studio Group, in partnership with Capcom, is launching Monster Hunter Outlanders on October 29th—a full third-person spinoff designed from the ground up for touchscreen devices while maintaining the fast-paced, stylish combat that fans expect from the franchise.

This marks the first time Capcom has brought a proper third-person Monster Hunter experience to mobile. The series previously only appeared on PSP and PS Vita, meaning anyone playing on a phone or tablet is getting access to legitimately new territory for the IP.

Monster Hunter Outlanders Built for Mobile, Built for Console Quality

What sets Outlanders apart is its ambition. TiMi Studio Group designed this as a mobile spinoff that would be just as at home on console or PC, suggesting the game could expand beyond phones—though specific platform availability hasn’t been confirmed yet. The developer is clearly targeting players who want the Monster Hunter experience without waiting for a new mainline release on traditional gaming hardware.

Combat pulls directly from the DNA of the original series: the deliberate pacing, the weapon variety, the boss-hunting core loop. But everything’s been adapted for how people actually play on mobile devices. The studio included accessibility options for newcomers, recognizing that not everyone jumping in has hunted monsters before.

The Accessibility Question

That balance between depth and accessibility could be the key differentiator. Monster Hunter games traditionally reward patience and learning—you need to study boss patterns, manage stamina, and coordinate weapon combos. Bringing that to mobile without frustrating casual players or boring veterans is no small feat. Whether TiMi Studio nailed that balance remains to be seen, along with specifics about the game’s monetization model and exact platform rollout.
