Netflix has a new reality game show: Million Dollar Secret! Netflix has done its tried-and-true two-part release, with the first six episodes released on March 26th, 2025. The last two episodes will be coming out on April 9th on Netflix. Here’s everything you need to know about the Million Dollar Secret before you watch the finale!
Million Dollar Secret
The Netflix show will have 12 players, one of whom is given a million dollars, which they can keep if they make it to the end with their Million Dollar Secret while the other 11 attempt to figure out who has the money. The players randomly choose their room key from a bag held by our lovely host, Peter Serafinowicz. Every room will have a box inside, and one of those boxes holds one million dollars, randomly decided.
Our first twelve contestants are Samantha in the mouse room, Se Young in the rabbit room, Jaimi in the snake room, Lauren in the bull room, Sydnee in the eagle room, Kyle in the boar room, Chris in the wolf room, Cara in the frog room, Harry in the sheep room, Lydia in the tiger room, Phillip in the bear room, and Corey in the gazelle room.
There is a daily activity all twelve contestants partake in to win entrance to the trophy room, where they will learn something about the millionaire hidden among them. The millionaire will also receive a hidden agenda every morning that they must accomplish to help them hide their Million Dollar Secret.
Million Dollar Secret Episode 1
Lauren is our lucky first millionaire, and she must keep her Million Dollar Secret to keep the money. She is given her first agenda shortly after finding the money in her box. Her agenda? To hug each of the guests before the first activity at sundown. If she completes this agenda, she will have two extra votes at the elimination dinner the next night. She completes this agenda with just ten seconds left!
The first activity will have six winners, and the guests must pair themselves, with one being a runner and the other being a codebreaker. Peter originally tells the guests that these pairs will be a team, but he soon tells them that they are actually competing against each other. A twist in the Million Dollar Secret show, already.
The runner has to run through an obstacle course with three locked gates, each having four potential keys before the codebreaker can memorize an 8-symbol code and release the hound. If the runner crosses the finish line before the dog can catch them, they win. If the hound catches the runner before then, the codebreaker wins.
Our teams are: Sydnee and Phil, Lydia and Jaimi, Lauren and Harry, Kyle and Cara, Se Young and Chris, and Sam and Corey. The winners of those pairs are Sydnee, Lydia, Lauren, Cara, Se Young, and Corey.
Inside the trophy room, Peter asks them each to pick one person they suspect of being the millionaire, and he will tell them if the millionaire is indeed among the ones mentioned. They accuse Harry, Sam, Lauren, Se Young, Corey, and Phil. Se Young had the idea to mention people they trusted and did not believe to be the millionaire.
Only one person gets to hear the answer, so the group agrees to let Lydia hear, and it will be her choice whether to share this with the group or keep it to herself. She does share that with the group, but the group has a little chat aside from the others to discuss whether they should disclose the names, and they decide that Lauren should tell everyone who the six possibilities are.
Phil doesn’t trust Lydia, Sam thinks that Lauren is the millionaire and begins to spread that suspicion. The dinner begins, and Episode 1 leaves us on a cliffhanger, not knowing who the group voted out. Or whether or not Lauren has been able to hide her Million Dollar Secret.
Million Dollar Secret Episode 2
Episode 2 begins with the vote, revealing that the group sent Harry home. His box gets brought forward and is revealed to be empty. Phil, Sam, Se Young, Lauren, and Corey are the remaining suspects. Lauren has successfully hidden her Million Dollar Secret.
Lauren’s second agenda is to reference the following song titles casually in conversation without talking about the song, the lyrics, or the artist by the end of breakfast: “Smooth Criminal,” “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Cry Me a River,” and “You Need to Calm Down.”
The reward? She can either choose three votes that will not count at the next elimination dinner or the money can be randomly reassigned to someone else’s box. She chooses the latter, feeling like she has too much suspicion on her. She manages to complete this task with little to no suspicion, likely due to the other guests being tired and still shocked at the dinner the night before.
The second activity is clay pigeon shooting, and the group will be split into two teams with the team leaders randomly chosen. The teams will take turns representing their team, and the first team to successfully shoot three clay pigeons wins entry to the trophy room. Team leader Chris chooses Kyle, Sydnee, Lauren, Jaimi, and Sam for his team, and team leader Lydia chooses Se Young, Corey, Phil, and Cara.
Jaimi is the first to shoot and the first to hit her target. Phil scores the first point for the other team, followed by Lauren and Cara. The activity is close, and the last shot is hit by Jaimi, winning for her team.
In the trophy room, Peter tells them they must choose one of them to hear the clue to the millionaire, and the group decides Chris will hear it. Chris believes it is Lauren before he even hears the clue, which is that the millionaire completed their agenda at breakfast the day before, and “It was a smash hit.”Chris shares that with the group word for word.
Se Young has an emotional breakdown while they try to place themselves back at breakfast the other day, bringing a lot of suspicion her way. Most of the group think the millionaire is either Lauren or Se Young, after her breakdown, and one person believes it’s Phil.
At the dinner that night, they talk about Lauren and Se Young having the Million Dollar Secret, and Se Young gets emotional once more. The group has voted, and Se Young will be leaving. Peter announces that the millionaire is no longer the millionaire, bringing everyone back to square one, just with two fewer people. Lauren no longer has to hide her Million Dollar Secret.
Million Dollar Secret Episode 3
Lauren admits to the group that she was the millionaire, which is met with shock and, in some places, anger. They don’t like how she had been lying to them, which they don’t understand at the time is actually the game, and more will have their turn.
The next morning at breakfast, the Million Dollar Secret is given to someone else, and we learn who after they finish eating. Phil is the new millionaire, and his secret agenda is to get three people to answer the following question with no: “Do you believe me?” If he succeeds, he will be able to cancel out three people’s votes at the next elimination dinner. If he fails, he will start the elimination dinner with one vote against him.
Lauren starts to think that Sydnee is hiding a Million Dollar Secret, but Cara thinks it’s Phil. Lauren and Sydnee have so much of the attention that Phil doesn’t think he needs to complete his agenda. We’ll see if that was the right decision.
The third activity splits the group into teams of two once more, this one randomized by where they sat. Team A consists of Chris, Cara, Jaimi, Lydia, and Sam while Team B consists of Corey, Kyle, Lauren, Phil, and Sydnee. The groups must solve pictograms on the outside of terrariums and place the animals put in front of them into the correct terrariums. The most correct wins, and in the event of a tie, the fastest team will win. Both teams get a perfect score, but Team B is faster by a full 40 seconds, winning them a trip to the trophy room.
The group decides Corey will hear the clue, and Peter tells him that the millionaire did not complete their agenda and that they were not chased by the hound in the first activity. Corey shares this clue with everyone, and the only people remaining who were not chased by the hound are Phil, Lydia, Cara, Sydnee, Corey, and Lauren, though the millionaire cannot be Lauren as she chose to give the money up in the last episode fo the Milion Dollar Secret.
Lauren talks to people, sharing her suspicion that it is Sydnee while Sydnee tells people they should consider voting Lauren out because she is a “dangerous player” and has information on being the millionaire that no one else does. Cara shares her suspicion that Phil has a Million Dollar Secret.
The vote ties at the elimination dinner between Lauren and Sydnee, so the group must vote again, with the only choices being the two mentioned above, and if it ties again, the millionaire’s vote will be the tiebreaker. It ties once more, and Lauren gets voted out since the millionaire decided to vote for her. Suspicion falls on Sydnee, Corey, and Phil.
Million Dollar Secret Episode 4
Phil receives his second agenda: he must get two people to scream out loud by the time the winners of the activity are called to the trophy room the next day. If he succeeds, the money will be randomly reassigned once more, giving someone else the Million Dollar Secret.
In the fourth activity, the group is broken into three teams of three: Sydnee, Phil, and Kyle; Jaimi, Chris, and Sam; and Lydia, Corey, and Cara. They must complete four tasks to create the perfect combination of whiskey and ice. The first team to succeed wins. The teams must split, two members must solve the tasks while the third member must wait at the glacier to be told which ice they need.
The first task is a numbers code, like sudoku where the same numbers cannot appear in the same column or row, and three boxes have been chosen to give a three-digit code, telling the team which barrel of whiskey they need. Phil and Kyle get a fast start on this and run to find their barrel. Jaimi and Chris figure it out next, with Lydia and Cara close behind. Meanwhile, Sydnee, Sam, and Corey wait in the cold for their phone call.
Although Phil and Kyle got their numbers first, Chris and Jaimi got to their barrel first, followed by Lydia and Cara, with Phil and Kyle being the last to find their barrel. Each team has a siphon to get the whiskey from the barrel into the decanter, but there is not enough whiskey in the barrel to fill the siphon. This task will take the teams longer than they thought, but Kyle has an idea. He decides to suck the whiskey up through the siphon, filling it as much as he can, and finishes filling his decanter long before the others.
The stopper for the barrel has the age of the ice they need, so Kyle and Phil run outside to call Sydnee, and she is the first to run for the ice. Lydia and Cara finish getting their whiskey next, sending Corey on his way. Finally, Chris and Jaimi finish and send Sam into the glacier, who almost goes for the wrong ice.
Now the teams must wait and hope whoever they chose to get the ice makes quick work of it, for they must chip away at the wall of ice to fill their bucket. Sydnee fills her bucket first and makes it back to the helicopter first, followed by Corey, and finally Sam. Now, the teams in second and third must hope the team that finished first has gotten it wrong, but they have not. Sydnee, Phil, and Kyle have won, and gain entry to the trophy room the next day.
After the activity, Phil uses the tooth he lost during the meal earlier as an excuse to rage scream, and he gets a few people to join him, completing his agenda. If he survives the next elimination dinner, the money will be moved to someone else’s box, and he will no longer have this Million Dollar Secret.
In the trophy room the next day, the winners choose Kyle to hear the clue, which is that the millionaire completed their agenda and that the agenda had been inspired by the title of a famous horror film, which Kyle immediately shares with the group. It takes them a little while, shouting out horror movies, but they eventually land on Scream and figure out that Phil is the millionaire.
Lydia starts talking to people about voting out Sydnee instead of Phil, as Sydnee is a smart and dangerous player and has some people on her side whom she can rely on, after having successfully voted out Lauren, who they knew did not have the Million Dollar Secret. Some people agree, and some don’t, so we, as the audience, have no idea which way this will go.
Million Dollar Secret Episode 5
Phil has been voted out, and Sam is the new millionaire, willing to do what it takes to hide her Million Dollar Secret. Her secret agenda? To approach at least three guests and ask them, “Can you hear that ringing?” She must get one person to answer yes. If she succeeds, she will get a “kill shot,” meaning that only her vote will count at the next elimination dinner. If she fails, she will start the dinner with three votes against her.
Chris is immediately suspicious of Sam, who is more withdrawn than her normal talkative self. Lydia, Kyle, Sam, and Cara talk about voting Sydnee out, as she’s a very powerful player, or voting out Jaimi, who is very cruel, having mocked Lauren after they voted her out, upsetting her even more.
In the fifth activity, the groups are split into two teams of four: Sam, Kyle, Chris, and Jaimi versus Corey, Sydnee, Cara, and Lydia. The teams must pick one person to hide, putting on a face mask of an animal and hiding among three empty masks, while the other team chooses one person to shoot color-filled balloons at the mask they believe the person is hiding in. The winner is whichever team can hit the hider with fewer shots.
Kyle is the first hider, and Sydnee is the shooter attempting to find him. She starts shooting at an empty mask, but Kyle fidgets, giving away his position in the snake mask. It takes Sydnee 13 attempts to hit Kyle’s mask. Lydia had decided to take one for her little alliance and sabotage Sydnee’s shots, trying to keep Sydnee out of the trophy room for once. On the other team, Sydnee hides, trying to make up for her many attempts to hit Kyle. Chris shoots for his team, and he is able to hit Sydnee in only eight shots, winning it for his team.
In the trophy room, the team chooses Jaimi to hear the clue: “The millionaire is lying about their profession.” Jaimi asks everyone what their profession is and what they love most about it before she tells them the clue. Three people are currently lying about their job: Lydia, Sam, and Sydnee. Only one admits it, and that is Sydnee. She admits that she has another profession, which is not technically a lie, but an omission. A surprising new twist in the Million Dollar Secret.
“I’m sorry, my love, but I think someone has to fall on the sword,” Sam said about Sydnee in her confessional. Meanwhile, Sydnee is suspicious of Cara, who had commented on how it’d be fun to cook every day but told everyone she works at In-N-Out, and that Lydia might have worked in escrow in the past, but she doesn’t believe she does that now. Corey thinks it’s Sydnee, Lydia thinks it’s Jaimi, and Chris thinks it’s Sam.
The votes are split between Sydnee and Lydia, but only one vote matters: Sam, with her Million Dollar Secret. Sam, though she considered Lydia a friend, sent her home. If she did not have that kill shot, Sydnee would be the one leaving. The suspicion falls on Jaimi when she is the only one to admit that she voted for Lydia.
Million Dollar Secret Episode 6
Sam escapes suspicion while all eyes are on Jaimi, and she receives her next agenda. She must get three people to say “Justin Timberlake” in a conversation without singing or saying song lyrics before the elimination dinner the next day. Sydnee believes Chris has a Million Dollar Secret, which Chris makes worse when he tells people that Sydnee is only still there because of him. He won’t admit he voted for Sam, instead doubling down and saying her voted for Sydnee.
In the next activity, the group is split into two teams, one with three people and the other with four. Cara, Sam, Corey, and Chris versus Sydnee, Kyle, and Jaimi. There will be two desserts, one good and one bad, and the teams must take turns eating the entire dessert while trying to make the other team guess wrong. If the guessers guess correctly, they get one point, but if they guess incorrectly, the other team gets a point. The first team to four points wins entry to the trophy room and the clue that waits inside.
Kyle sits down first, but his poker face needs work as the other team guesses correctly. Corey sits as the first for his team, scoring them another point when the other team guesses wrong. Jaimi goes next for her team, scoring them the first point. Chris gives the other team their second point when he accidentally shows the answer on the bottom of his plate during his show. This makes Corey and Jaimi suspicious of him.
Sam goes next for her team, earning back the point that Chris lost with his disqualification, bringing her team to three points. Sydnee goes next, and it is do-or-die time. If she loses this point, she loses the game, but her poker face is nonexistent. She did not finish the dessert, bringing the other team the final point they needed. Sam, Corey, Chris, and Cara have won the game, but Sam is not done. She uses the game, among other things, to start sowing the seeds of suspicion for Chris.
The group chooses Corey to hear the clue, but it’s not what they thought. Corey gets to choose one box from the losing team to look in. He decides to check Jaimi’s and is surprised to find it empty. He is then given his own secret agenda. He must get the other guests to say “911,” “handcuffs,” and “misdemeanor” in conversation. If he succeeds, the money will be randomly reassigned, even if the millionaire survives elimination. If he fails, he will start the elimination dinner with two votes against him. In the meantime, Sam has completed her agenda.
Corey shares the information he got from the box with the rest of the group and, very quickly, accomplishes his agenda by playing off those words as clues that were inside Jaimi’s box. Sam keeps putting suspicion on Chris, talking about how his fun fact involved a police escort, while Chris puts the suspicion right back on Sam by reminding the others what Sam had said about her cop friend. Sam has figured out that Chris is gunning for her, believing her to be hiding the Million Dollar Secret.
At the elimination dinner, Sam and Chris are the main topics, and Sam uses something Chris said to her about wanting to vote for Cara to get others to vote for Chris instead of her. In the end, Sam’s completion of her secret agenda saved her. The vote ended with five votes for Chris and three votes for Sam. If Sam had not completed her agenda, the votes would have been four against four, resulting in a tie and possibly Sam leaving.
Peter then announces that a guest had been given their own agenda, which they had completed, and if they survived, which they did, the money would move to someone else’s box. At the end of this episode, Sam is no longer the millionaire with her Million Dollar Secret, but there is still heavy suspicion on her due to the clues and her comment about her cop friend.
Conclusion
Million Dollar Secret is full of twists and turns that neither the players nor the audience can see coming, and it is a game where anything can happen. What you say, and even what you don’t, can be used against you. The game depends on how well you can lie and bluff your way through these situations, and whether or not you can prove yourself trustworthy.
Do you think you would be able to hide your Million Dollar Secret? Who do you think should win? Are you ready for these episodes to come out later today? I don’t know about you, but I will be on the edge of my seat to find out who will win Netflix’s Million Dollar Secret.
