As Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, galivanted around Nigeria, things were not so great on the homefront. Their charity, Archewell, whose purpose is not entirely clear, was deemed “delinquent” because of unpaid fees.
This is another PR disaster that Harry and Meghan are accustomed to. After so many, we have to wonder if they are that tone-deaf or if this is their norm. Ever since they left the Royal Family, it appears that it’s both.
Nigerian “Royal” Tour

The delightful duo recently returned home following their visit to Nigeria. The visit followed Harry’s solo trip to London and the 10th anniversary of his darling, the Invictus Games. Purportedly invited to promote the Invictus Games by Nigeria’s highest-ranking military official, Christopher Musa, it looked like a traditional Royal Tour. However, the British Government quickly made it clear the duo was not representing them in any capacity.
Make no mistake: official or otherwise, these trips are not vacation spots with Mom. The royals are usually invited by the host country. Despite their disdain for the royal family, many wonder why they insist on retaining their royal titles. Prince Harry renounced his British residency in April.
Meghan’s road to royalty was bumpy. She claimed she faced racism and allegedly had bullying complaints filed against her by staff. Seemingly glamorous from the outside, royal life does seem to echo many of the ups and downs in the fictional Bridgerton series.
Meghan, as to be expected, made sure the visit’s focus remained on her. She told people how proud she was to be their “role model” and how wonderful it is to be back in “the motherland,” all amid claims she is 43% Nigerian. She also warmly stated that “I see myself in all of you.”
Welcome Home, Meghan and Harry!

In a letter dated May 3rd, California’s Attorney General Rob Bonta issued an official Delinquency Notice. It read the charity was “not in good standing and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds.”
In all fairness, the fix was simple. After all, the filing fees were approximately $200 (not including late charges and any penalties), which is minimal for a charity that raised more than $2 million in 2022. The charity scrambled to fix things, and as of May 15th, they are back in good standing. While remedied, this mess-up is typical for these two.
Meghan “Markles”

In the 6 years since Meghan and Harry married, the number of people “markled” (or ghosted, discarded, etc.) continues to increase. Meghan is the ultimate climber and regularly uses people until they offer or mean nothing to her. From her very own father to her first husband, she continues to make people such as Jessica Mulroney (daughter-in-law of former Canadian Prime Minister) as she ascends socially.
If she decides not to markle you, Meghan (followed by Harry) will make life miserable for those around them. From the notorious interview with Oprah Winfrey, all but calling the royals racist while Prince Philip lay dying, to the ruptured relationship Harry now has with William, Meghan leaves behind a path of ruined relationships.
Meghan and Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Unsussexful

Meghan and Harry stepped away from the Royal Family in January 2020, they hoped to remain involved with the Royal Family while establishing themselves financially secure outside of it. They announced this to the public without informing the Royal family. And thus began their downfall.
Harry used to be a darling in the British Royal Family. His cheeky charm and irreverent behavior were a great asset. Since his marriage to American Meghan and combined with her discontent, that charm appears to mask an angry and sullen man. His autobiography, Spare unveiled the highly dysfunctional family behind all the grandeur.
Further, they “mutually decided” to part ways with Spotify prematurely before the $20 million contract ended. Indeed, the CEO of Spotify Daniel Elk called them “grifters”.
It is fair to decide to change the course of one’s life. After all, even though Harry was born to royalty, he has the right to leave it behind for himself and his family. However, their tedious poor me tour is well past its expiration date. And, frankly, so are Meghan and Harry.
