Leo starts Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2026, with two planets working directly in its favor. Mars and Jupiter are both moving through Leo’s first house of self, identity and first impressions, a combination that gives this sign extra presence in whatever room it walks into. The Moon in Virgo, meanwhile, lights up Leo’s second house of money and self-worth, turning attention toward practical matters even as confidence runs high.
This is a day built for Leo to be seen. With Mars at 6 degrees Leo and Jupiter at 20 degrees Leo both anchored in the sign’s own identity house, the planetary weight favors bold moves over waiting in the wings. That said, the Moon’s waning crescent phase, sitting at just 5% illumination, suggests this is better suited to quiet follow-through than a big public push.
Love And Relationships
Venus remains retrograde in Scorpio, sitting in Leo’s fourth house of home and family, and it is forming a square to Mars in Leo today. That tension between the self-house and the home-house can surface as friction between personal ambition and family obligations. A partner or relative may want more attention at home just as Leo feels pulled to focus on personal goals. The fix is not choosing one over the other, but naming the conflict out loud rather than letting it simmer.
Pluto, retrograde in Aquarius, continues to sit in Leo’s seventh house of partnerships. Any one-on-one relationship issue that resurfaces today is likely connected to deeper patterns rather than a new problem, so patience serves better than a quick reaction.
Career And Money
Mercury in Scorpio also occupies Leo’s fourth house, which can turn work conversations toward family finances, property or domestic responsibilities rather than pure career strategy. The Moon in Virgo in the second house of money favors a practical, detail-focused approach to budgeting or reviewing expenses today.
Mars sextile Uranus is a supportive aspect, linking Leo’s first house of self directly to the eleventh house of friends, groups and future hopes, currently home to retrograde Uranus in Gemini. That connection makes this a good day to reach out to a network contact or bring a fresh idea to a group project, since the aspect suggests that initiative and collaboration are working together rather than against each other.
Health And Wellbeing
With so much energy concentrated in the first house through Mars and Jupiter, Leo may feel physically restless or eager to move. Channeling that drive into regular activity, rather than letting it build into tension, fits the day’s chart. The Virgo Moon’s focus on practical upkeep also makes this a fitting time to tend to small wellness routines, like meal prep or a simple stretching habit, instead of overhauling everything at once. As always, talk to a doctor or other health professional before starting any new fitness or wellness routine.
Leo Tip For Thursday
Use the confidence Mars and Jupiter bring to the table, but save the big declarations for daylight hours. Saturn’s retrograde placement in Aries, tucked in the ninth house of travel and belief, is a reminder that long-term plans need structure before they need an audience. Write down one goal today instead of announcing it.
