LCK 2026 Round 4 Day 15 Recap: HANJIN BRION Succeeds in their Play-Ins Chase

At Gen.G Esports’ LCK homestand, they played against Dplus KIA and T1. They lost both series at that time. T1 had their home stand this week, against DK and Gen.G. They also lost both series and find themselves without playoff qualification. HANJIN BRION’s win over KRX booked them a spot in the LCK Play-Ins with one week to spare. There are two spots to play for in both groups as we head into the final week.

T1 Bested at Their Home Stand

Gen.G Esports got revenge over T1 at their home stand. The previous meeting between the two teams was at Gen.G’s home stand in Round 3. Gen.G earned a 2-0 victory this time around. They also ended their loss streak against T1, which goes back to Round 2 of the Regular Season. It looked like T1 had made the comeback in Game 1 through Doran’s Vayne. With Canyon dead, T1 had the advantage. But the rest of Gen.G turned the fight around to earn Exodia and ended the game.

Game Two was more back and forth, but the Hextech Soul proved too much for T1 to deal with. Throughout the series, T1 only earned one Drake, which was the first Elder in Game One. T1 missed another chance to qualify for the playoffs.

HANJIN BRION Secure Play-Ins

BRO earned a 2-1 win over KRX to book their LCK Play-Ins Spot

After a shaky start to Round 3 of the LCK, BRO has secured their spot in the Play-Ins. With KRX and Nongshim Redforce facing each other next week, only one of the two teams can finish above BRO. It marks the second year in a row that BRO will feature in the Play-Ins. As is the custom with KRX Versus BRO, it went the distance, but this time BRO came out on top.

They nearly threw away game one after losing a fight with Infernal Soul. They lost their way in game two, but returned with a vengeance in the third game. The two game wins had one element in common for BRO. Teddy was fed in both, and he delivered dominant performances. KRX must now win both of their series next week to stand a chance at qualifying for the Play-Ins stage. With a surging DN SOOPers as one of their opponents, they could struggle to earn their spot.

Champions Played

KRX

  • Frog – Jax, K’Sante, Ambessa
  • Willer – Lee Sin, Wukong, Vi
  • Ucal – Orianna, Viktor, Annie
  • Aiming – Yunara, Ezreal, Corki
  • Andil – Bard, Karma, Alistar

HANJIN BRION

  • Casting – Olaf, Jayce, Aatrox
  • GIDEON – Jarvan IV, Xin Zhao, Nocturne
  • Roamer – Cassiopeia, Akali, Aurora
  • Teddy – Caitlyn, Lucian, Kai’Sa
  • Namgung – Elise, Milio, Neeko

Top Two on the Cards

After being wayward for most of the Regular Season, Gen.G has a chance to redeem themselves. They are currently in first place, one series win ahead of Hanwha Life Esports. A victory for Gen.G against KT Rolster in the first game of the final week will book their spot in Round 2 of the Playoffs. A 2-0 will give them a significant advantage over HLE in the chase for first place.

Despite the concerns for Gen.G, they have righted the ship at the perfect moment. Could this be the year that they carry that momentum into the World Championship? For T1, they still need a series victory to guarantee a spot in the Playoffs. However, a win for Gen.G over KT will secure T1’s spot, without them needing to play next week.
