Week 12 of the LCK has come to a close. GenG Esports has now secured a top-two spot for the playoffs and earned a berth to the second round. DN Freecs 2-0 loss to DK knocks them out of contention for the Play-Ins. DK, on the other hand, has managed to scrape through to a guaranteed Play-Ins spot despite its struggles since returning to the LCK.

Initial Prediction

KT 0-2 GenG

Result

KT 0-2 GenG

Summary

KT attempted to make plays in the series, but it always felt like an even trade or GenG got more elsewhere. In some cases, GenG made two plays on opposite sides of the map, both of which were successful. KT needs to do a better job of identifying their win conditions in games. They picked Ambessa in game one, which was a vital part of their team fights, but they abandoned PerfecT, letting him fall too far behind Kiin’s Gwen. You can not let GenG get away with making two plays on opposite sides of the map at the same time. Ruler was electrifying in the second game, and he ensured KT’s health bars suffered from his damage.

LCK 2025: DN Freecs Versus Dplus

Initial Prediction

DNF 0-2 DK

Result

DNF 0-2 DK

Summary

How DK manages to make series closer than they should is impressive. They gain leads, but always allow the enemy team a route back into the game. Siwoo’s incredible start to the year is becoming eclipsed by consistent mistakes throughout the games. If he can reach his old form, he will elevate DK’s play. Fortunately for DK, they have secured a spot in the LCK Play-Ins. The loss for DNF means they can no longer reach the Play-Ins, and they are playing for pride in the upcoming weeks.
