LCK 2025: T1 Versus DK Game One – DK Plays Stable for Victory

LCK 2025: Week 14 Day Four HLE Falter While DNF Dominate BRO

T1 and DK meet for the second time in the LCK Playoffs. They are battling for the final Korean spot at the World Championship. DK has started the series in the same fashion they are used to, winning game one. They emerged victorious in the same spot when the two teams faced off in the first round of the LCK Playoffs. The concern for T1 is how they crumbled while DK remained stable throughout the game.

LCK 2025: T1 Picks Ziggs

T1 has struggled playing against Ziggs for a long time now. Even last year, T1 lost to the champion when attempting to qualify for the 2024 World Championship. Their solution to the problem is to pick Ziggs for Gumayusi in game one. He is a champion that requires you to adjust your playstyle to get the most value out of. Can T1 make those adjustments to win game one?

T1 Composition

  • Doran – Ambessa
  • Oner – Nocturne
  • Faker – Ryze
  • Gumayusi – Ziggs
  • Keria – Poppy

DK Composition

  • Siwoo – Renekton
  • Lucid – Trundle
  • ShowMaker – Cassiopeia
  • Aiming – Corki
  • BeryL – Nautilus

LCK 2025: Doran Struggling Into DK Composition

Throughout the game, Doran was not able to play. Between having a losing lane, getting dived, or Miasma to prevent him from moving, Doran was dead on repeat. While he had little impact, some of his deaths were attributed to misplaced teleports and T1 looking disconnected. We have seen situations where Doran dies on repeat, but T1 manages to break open the rest of the map. They did not do that in this game.

LCK 2025: DK Run Away With the Lead

Once DK garnered the advantage in the game, they never gave T1 a chance. BeryL stayed alive and did not give away free picks. DK always traded back on the kills that T1 found. The game win was clinical. In the past, they usually threw games on the Atakhan. Instead of forcing the objective, they were willing to give up in trade for teleports and pulled the trigger on T1’s split instead of focusing on the Atakhan.

Can T1 Fix Their Issues?

T1’s coordination has failed in recent games. Earlier in the year, they were able to beat teams with their teamplay and managed to bring GenG to multiple game fives. If they can regain that form, they should be able to match DK in this series and qualify for the World Championship.
