Beyond that, though, he felt connected to the word being the type of song one would play at a funeral. Having written multiple songs about that experience, the name seemed like a good fit.
The rising star has had a long exploration of his identity leading up to this album. His early works were eerily similar, leaning more into the dark essence that Requiem has now. After being pressured by fans and lightly ridiculed about sounding ’emo’, keshi decided to write under a more confident persona.
