After being married for 19 years and having 14 kids (two sets of twins, a set of triplets, and one set of quintuplets), Karen Derrico was announced to be divorcing her husband on June 6th. Everyone has been anxious about what is going to happen to the family of 16. And finally, after more than a month, fans and people who have been following the family’s story have finally gotten a long-awaited update with cheerful news.

Karen and Deon Derrico were both a good pair for each other before the divorce. After being officially married for only one year, Karen and Deon had given birth to their first son, Darian, who is currently 18. Around the time that Karen and Deon had their last children, a pair of triplets, they decided to do debut their reality TV show.
Everything seemed to be going well for them for the past 19 years, but maybe there is a good reason why the pair are divorcing and how it’ll affect the family.
Divorce reason
Karen and Deon Derrico had decided that the final season of their reality show would be the best way to break the news of their divorce, only two days after the show aired. While it is unclear the original reason that the pair decided to divorce after 19 years together, it is said that they had a lot of bickering with each other over problems in their lives.
A main problem that seemed to occur was that Karen had a hard time with her mother-in-law because she meddled in their lives. Karen also wanted to move and be able to live closer to her family. Both of these things are a main part of their divorce. But like every family who goes through a divorce, there is always more to the story.
Family update
Karen ended up doing a live video on June 6th, 2024, on Instagram. During this video, Karen ended up talking about how happy she was for everyone’s support for both sides and the whole family in general. She also ended up doing a little in-depth about how the kids are doing in the divorce, and how they’re just trying to keep them occupied and draw their attention away from their parents.
Even if the update on the family is small, since Karen Derrico announced a bit about how it’s going in the live, there is a chance we can get more updates later on in the year.
