Boruto Blue Vortex Chapter 22 dropped on May 20, and we see Jura straightaway targetting Boruto, to eliminate him once-and-for-all all, while the latter appears to save his sensei, Master Konohamaru. Probably in the most anticipated fight, the clash of the titans, Jura, the divine tree leader, is clearly the favorite against our protagonist. Even according to Jiraiya and Eida, Boruto is no match, but he is sacrificing his life in order to save his master. However, chapter 22 shows Boruto’s capabilities and new inventions, his Rasengan Uzuhiko, and how he plans to use it against his stronger opponent.
But does the trick work? Did it leave any impact on the mighty Jura? Or was it all in vain for our hero? Let’s find out.
Jura Leaves Other Shinobis To Only Come After Boruto
Jura arrives on the battlefield only after he senses Boruto is present there. To face him head-on, he leaves other Shinobis, including the likes of Sarada, who is lying unconscious, to travel straight to where our Otsutsuki is. This leaves the Shinobis in surprise but gives massive relief to the readers as their lives are spared by Jura. On the other hand, Boruto asks Konohamaru to leave the area at the earliest as he can sense Jura’s arrival. However, the villain is super quick and launches an attack from a distance, only to be survived by Boruto because of his Flying Raijin technique that he has now mastered.
While appreciating the skill, Jura is happy to see Boruto face-to-face, as this gives him a chance to kill and finish things. Surprisingly, Boruto directly hits him with a Rasengan, which literally has no effect on Jura. The Divine leader then launches a series of Biju bomb attacks using his Rinnegan, which Boruto avoids. It seemed like our protagonist’s main goal was to buy time so Konohamaru and the other Shinobis could make it out of there.
The Divine Boss asks Boruto questions regarding all the intel he knows about their clan, but to no avail. Jura is curious as to how Boruto has so much knowledge, but the protagonist is there only to waste more time. While all of this is happening, Boruto is constantly thinking of ways to take him down as he is unable to read him. Therefore, it is that moment when he thinks of using ‘Uzuhiko’. Meanwhile, Juro quits talking and suddenly starts attacking.
Rasengan Uzuhiko Fails To Leave Any Impact on Jura
As Boruto starts avoiding multiple attacks from Jura, he is unable to land his feet on the ground, which is needed in order to execute Uzuhiko. Suddenly, he gets hit by one of the attacks and in the process, loses Sasuke’s sword and gets trapped. Jura takes his moment and picks up the sword, threatening Boruto that he will destroy it. With so much attachment involved with the sword, Boruto gets rid of the trap and launches a direct ‘Rasengan Uzuhiko’ on Jura, which looks promising upon execution. From the execution itself, it looks like it will leave a major impact on the antagonist, but to the readers’ surprise, nothing happens.
The chapter ends with Jura easily nullifying Boruto’s attack, comparing Uzhiko’s ability to his Biju Bombs and therefore understanding it rather easily to defend himself. This leaves Boruto thinking about what he can do next as the chapter finishes with nothing positive on the hero’s end.
Is Momoshiki’s Return On The Cards?
Whenever Boruto is on the verge of dying or getting seriously hurt, is when we always see the return of Momoshiki. Despite his best efforts, the Divine leader looks absolutely fine, and it seems like Boruto doesn’t have a lot of options left. Therefore, there are plenty of speculations that Momoshiki will once again step in to help our hero. Although it would be fair to say that Momoshiki-led Boruto against a super-strong Jura will be an exciting encounter.
