‘Home Improvement’ Star Zachery Bryan Faces DUI Arrest In Oklahoma

Zachery Bryan, who played Brad Taylor, son of Tim Allen’s Tim Taylor in Home Improvement, was arrested on October 25. He was charged with a DUI Second Felony Offense, according to Custer County jail records. He was detained at 8:30 a.m. local time and was driving without a legal driver’s license. Officers found Bryan, who had been in the 1990s comedy for the whole run, resting in the back seat of a vehicle early on October 25, 2024.  

Zachery Bryan’s Fifth DUI Arrest

Zachery Bryan, arrested Friday morning, is still in prison at the Custer County Jail, according to Latasha Goodman, as per Custer County Sheriff’s Office administrative lieutenant Latasha Goodman. The actor’s DUI bond is set at $25,000, while the driver’s license bond at $500. Bryan was charged with a felony and faced extra charges since he had a DUI history within the previous ten years. Bryan’s arrest on Friday marks his fifth DUI accusation and second felony violation if convicted, according to Custer County Jail records. 

According to the records, Oklahoma authorities spoke briefly with Bryan before letting him go. Shortly after, cops noticed Bryan driving the car and stopped him. The 43-year-old admitted to investigators that he was inebriated after being pulled over, and later failed sobriety tests. Bryan has a history of legal trouble. In February, Zachery Bryan was arrested in La Quinta, California, for allegedly driving under the influence. Later that day, he was freed after posting a $50,000 bond.

Bryan Allegedly Blocked 911 Call

In 2020, the 39-year-old actor from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift was arrested. At that time, he was charged with fourth-degree assault in Eugene, Oregon, after allegedly strangling his 27-year-old girlfriend. According to the inquiry, Zachery Bryan beat the woman, obstructed her breathing, and stole the victim’s phone when she attempted to contact 911 during the argument. The victim was denied medical treatment.

Zachery Bryan was arrested without incident and housed in the Lane County Jail. He subsequently pled guilty to two domestic violence offenses in 2021. It includes threatening and assault in the fourth degree, according to the Lane County District Attorney. Consequently, Bryan was sentenced to 36 months on bench probation. 

Zachery Bryan was previously arrested for alleged domestic violence and convicted on two charges before his arrest in July 2023 of another domestic violence incident. Known for playing Brad Taylor in the Tim Allen-led comedy from 1991 to 1999, Bryan’s current DUI arrest is the most recent in a series of legal troubles for the former child star.
