Rodwick (“Red”) Sternberg, a Filipino actor, passed away on Tuesday, May 27th. He would have been 51 on May 30th. Sternberg was best known for his regular role as Kiko on the Filipino coming-of-age television series T.G.I.S. After his acting career, Sternberg focused on his family and his life outside fame. At this time, there is no further information on his cause of death.
Red Sternberg’s Acting Career
Red Sternberg’s career started with the 1995 true crime movie, The Jessica Alfaro Story. He then went on to appear in several movies and TV series, primarily in the 1990s. His breakout role was Kiko (character’s given name was Francisco Martin) in the Filipino TV series T.G.I.S. (Thank God It’s Sabado). He also played Kiko in the 1997 movie T.G.I.S.: The Movie about the friends’ adventure on the seas.
Red Sternberg’s Life Post-Acting
Red left the acting industry sometime in the early 2000s to focus on family life. He got married to Sandy Sternberg, and they had three children. From all accounts, it looked like he had a typical family life and stayed out of the spotlight. His wife, Sandy, stated;
To those who knew him from his early acting days, he was “Kiko,” but to our three kids and I, he was simply Daddy/Dada.
Sandy Sternberg further went on to say that this is one of the most difficult times she has been through. There is nothing announced publicly yet for Red’s memorial service or wake, but likely to be upcoming in the near future.

Red will be missed by many, especially the cast and crew, or Barkada, at T. G. I. S. Director Mark Reyes stated
