The high drama show Found, starring Shanola Hampton and Mark-Paul Gosselaar, had its conclusion on Thursday, May 15th. After two thrilling seasons of Gabi Mosley and her dedicated team finding those whom society often disregards, the show has reached its end on NBC. So, did Found Season 2 live up to its hype? And how was the finale? (Please stop reading here if you don’t want to know any spoilers about the show.)
Gabi Mosley on Found Season 2
Gabi (Hampton) is someone who is incredibly intelligent, very brave, but also deeply flawed in Found Season 2. Kidnapped by a former high school teacher and held for an extended period of time, she has shaped most of her adult life from the incident. Sir, played by Gosselaar, held Gabi while she was a teenager in hopes of bonding with her in a warped way. After finally breaking free, Gabi completely changes her life and later starts Mosley & Associates, or M&A
M&A is an elite crisis management team, consisting of five individuals, all with unique skill sets. The team members each have suffered their own trauma, whether it was kidnapping or surviving a tragedy in their lives. They are aided by Detective Trent, who is a close friend and confidante to Gabi. The past two seasons of Found have had the continuous storyline of Gabi and Sir navigating their twisted relationship.
Found Season 2 Buildup
Margaret (Kelli Williams) is one of Gabi’s team members. Margaret’s talent is being able to read people. Sadly, Margaret had her son Jamie kidnapped at a bus stop years ago. Never losing hope, it’s obvious the distraught mom would go to the ends of the earth to find him again. At the close of the first season, we see Jamie return.
How Jamie plays into this is that he becomes a part-time worker (an intern of sorts) at M&A. Speaking of family, it turns out Sir has a long-lost sister named Lena. Lena, unfortunately, has dealt with her own trauma and is more unstable than Sir. At the end of the last episode, ‘Missing While a Family,’ Lena kidnaps Jamie.
Found Season 2 Finale
(Warning: spoilers!)
As M&A deals with another case (one of Dhan’s old military friends), Gabi works hard to find Lena and Jamie. After setting up a meeting point, Gabi offers herself to Lena, hoping that she can exchange places with Jamie. An enraged Lena then attacks Gabi. Police show up in time, and ultimately Lena is arrested.
The next day, a press conference is scheduled. We see Lacey show up at Zeke’s with two coffees so they can watch the presser together. (Fingers crossed for those “Zacey” or “Leke” shippers!) At the press conference, a courageous Gabi makes a full confession, saying that she kidnapped Sir and held him in her basement. The scene then cuts to Sir’s prison cell. We see him lying in a pool of blood.
Will Found Find Another Network?
After the Found season 2 chaos and that dramatic ending, we can only hope the show can find another network. It seems as though there’s more to the story with Gabi and Sir. Will Gabi ever find peace? Will she and Trent hook up? How will Jamie fare? Will Dhan‘s marriage survive? And the burgeoning relationship between Lacey and Zeke – what will happen? So many questions! Hopefully, Found will find a new network to call home.
