On Saturday, fans of pop sensation Justin Bieber were thrown into a state of apprehension. Many were worried and guessing what might be going wrong in the singer’s life after he was seen crying in some photos.
‘Crying Justin Bieber’
The ‘Never Say Never’ hit singer had taken to Instagram to share a series of photos that left fans worldwide and even industry watchers concerned.
Two particular selfies stood out among the carousel of images he shared. They featured Justin with tears streaming down his face.
Unfortunately for many, the photos, shared without any commentary, sparked a wave of concern among fans. Comments flooded in, with fans expressing their worry and pouring out support for the singer.
Some fans quizzed who made him cry while another asked if he was okay.
There were also messages of encouragement, with some assuring the pop sensation that he would be okay and that “peace of mind to you sooner than later, friend.”
‘A Pretty Crier’
Luckily, amid the growing concerns, one comment stood out — not from a fan but from Justin’s wife, Hailey Bieber.
The 27-year-old Rhode Skin founder, adding a bit of wit to lighten the mood, simply said, “A pretty crier,” accompanied by a crying face emoji. Her response, though simple, seems to have done some magic subtly easing the concerns of fans.
The model’s timely comment, not only did it help ease the minds of fans, but it seems to have also quashed rumors that all might not be well with their marriage. The couple got married in a fairytale wedding back in September 2018.
The rumors stem from reports that Hailey’s father, Stephen Baldwin, 57, had asked the public to pray for the couple. The couple celebrated their five-year anniversary in September last year.
Following the emotional post, Justin also tried to put his fans’ minds at ease by posting a series of photos of himself smiling. He uploaded pictures of himself shirtless and shoeless on the golf course, chilling in an infinity pool, hanging on the beach, smiling, smoking, and trying on some sneakers.
Hailey’s reaction and Justin’s subsequent posts obviously pointed to the fact that all was well with the singer even though he hasn’t been very active publicly for some time now.
Low Profile
Since 2022, Justin, 30, has been keeping a low profile since he revealed that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused facial paralysis and led to the cancellation of several shows on his world tour.
Some of the singer’s rare appearances included a surprise cameo on the acoustic version of SZA’s ‘Snooze’ in September 2023. He also played a brief surprise set at the celeb captains of February’s 2024 NHL all-star game in Toronto, Canada. In February, Justin posted a series of pics from the studio suggesting he was working on his first new music since he released the ‘Justice’ album in 2021.
The pop sensation showed up on stage for a surprise performance with singer Tems and Afrobeats star Wizkid at Coachella this month. They performed the remix of Wizkid’s smash hit song, ‘Essence’, which, since its release in 2022, has surpassed four million units in sales in the United States, earning it a prestigious RIAA platinum plaque.
