Amazing Digital Circus Gooseworx Will End Show on Season 1

The Amazing Digital Circus by Gooseworx

Gooseworx is the creator of The Amazing Digital Circus. With this in mind, Gooseworx announced on their social media that they will end the show on season one. The computer-animated series was originally greenlit thanks to the number of views the first two episodes that the show got on YouTube, allowing it to have a full series. The Amazing Digital Circus did so well in terms of views, that they began to be released on both YouTube and Netflix, to be streamed more worldwide, starting in October. While the news about the show’s ending came so soon after, there were reasons.

Gooseworx

The creator of The Amazing Digital Circus is an American YouTuber named Gooseworx. She has a separate channel where she creates a range of content varying from animations or cartoons to music. Gooseworx has links on her YouTube channel main page, each leading to where her music can be listened to, her art can be downloaded, and her Twitter account.

Her animations range from 2D to 3D, with most of her 3D animations being the teaser, snippet, and short video on characters from The Amazing Digital Circus. As one can guess from the biography in her main page’s ‘About’ box, she not only created the series and designs, but all the music for it as well. Those three videos on Gooseworx’s channel were uploaded about a year ago, which is the same time when the animation series’ pilot episode was uploaded on the Glitch channel.

Ending After Season 1

On their social media page, Gooseworx and her co-creator, Liam, carefully express how the ending of The Amazing Digital Circus was their decision. She explicitly states how Murder Drones, the group they work with that uploads the full episodes of the show, had nothing to do with the cancellation. It is explained that Liam felt he was finished with the story, and Gooseworx didn’t want the series to have any filler episodes.

Gooseworx could have extended the show to last for more seasons if she wished, but she wanted each episode to have a purpose. She wanted each episode to either focus on character development or something meaningful, not an episode that was just there to waste the viewer’s time. There currently isn’t more official information about the choice of the show, aside from the information from her social media post. There is at least valid information for why there will be no second season, which has been made clear enough to help the fans understand.

The Amazing Digital Circus

This series by Gooseworx was a 3D animated show, originally on Glitch’s YouTube channel before collaborating with Netflix to reach wider audiences. Made in early 2023, it quickly and easily gained popularity, already having merchandise even though it only has three episodes. The series is about a group of people being trapped in a virtual world with an AI character named Caine as their host. They have since long given up on finding a way out and choosing to go along with the AI-generated adventures that Caine creates, either for their sanity or boredom.

The viewers learn about all of this and go through the process of adapting to being trapped in a virtual world through the protagonist, Pomni. She is the newest person to be trapped in The Amazing Digital Circus. In the pilot episode, she was slowly processing everything very anxiously, already almost losing her sanity. Now, for every new episode, she begins to grow used to it but always ends up traumatized in some way. Thankfully, the creators have no plans to thoughtlessly make each episode entertaining without a purpose. This is evidenced by how at the end of the current episodes so far, Pomni is shown to have undergone some character development.

Conclusion

It is unfortunate for the fans of The Amazing Digital Circus, now that news is out about the series being limited to only one season. However, Gooseworx had her reasons, which was that if she wanted to extend the story, they would have to create more filler episodes. Gooseworx intends to have episodes with meaning and character development and already has a finished story for the amazing digital circus. Fans can only respect the creator’s choice and support the creator and the channel where the series episodes were uploaded.
