Resident Evil Requiem Drops Tomorrow

Resident Evil Requiem has been one of the most highly anticipated games to be released in 2026. I remember my reaction when the announcement trailer dropped during the Summer Games Fest last year. It was such a delightful surprise to see another game being made, featuring a brand-new protagonist and storyline, as well as bringing back one of the most iconic characters in the series, Leon Kennedy. Requiem combines the old with the new in this psychological horror experience.
One of the things I love most about Resident Evil Requiem is how different it feels from the other games in the series. Resident Evil is known as an action-horror series, with iconic characters like Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, and Chris and Claire Redfield as the badass heroes we love. The devs of Requiem not only decided to make this a psychological horror game, but they’ve also brought back Leon, reminding us that this is still a Resident Evil game we are playing.
The hype for Resident Evil Requiem is real. Capcom definitely knew what they were doing in between the time that the game was announced and now. Every reveal, from the introduction of Grace Ashcroft as the main protagonist to coming back to Raccoon City, to the best reveal of the game, which brought back Leon after 13 years of being absent in the series, was deliberate. Capcom built hype and tension through every reveal, and now the game is finally here! Requiem drops tomorrow, and I can’t wait to experience it.
