Repo – Semiwork Reveals New and Exciting Item With DEFIBRO
Semiwork has been working non-stop on updates and new added content in Repo. With the introduction of the new and improved Semiscooter, which can now hold loot, to the cosmetics update, fans have been itching to get back and experience all the new content. Semiwork is back at it again, with another devlog announcing a new item: the DEFIBRO. Here’s what Semiwork has revealed in this new Repo devlog.

In the newest devlog that Semiwork dropped several hours ago, they revealed another new specialty item: the DEFIBRO. DEFIBRO is a robot that can help you out while you loot because it can revive dead players. When DEFIBRO detects a nearby dead player, it revives that player. Then, it self-detonates right after. It can be equipped in your inventory, and if you die with DEFIBRO equipped, it will revive you, so it can even work in single-player.
Being able to revive players is a pretty big deal because the only way players were brought back from the dead is putting their heads in the extraction points. This is also a step up from the death head mechanic, which lets players who’ve died speak to players who are still alive from beyond the grave. DEFIBRO gives players a second chance during matches, so don’t worry too much if you fall into a pit or get chomped by the Headman because DEFIBRO will save you. Here’s what the devs had to say while showcasing DEFIBRO:
So this is… my little guy, his name is DEFIBRO. Say hello.
What did you think about when you created this little… fella?
So you know when a human being goes into the realm of the unknown, eh? The medical engineers bring the defibrillator to the scene… and this is kind of the robot version of the defibrillator.
Why does he look the way he does?
If you’ve played Semiwork’s previous game, Voidigo, there is a little character called Jimbot, which kind of looks like this guy. Some people are gonna say it looks like other things, but I’m gonna deny all those accusations.
You also made the sounds for this one, yes?
Yeah, I did.
More Updates for Repo
A few weeks ago, Semiwork released a devlog introducing a new and improved version of the Semiscooter that they had been working on. The Semiscooter will be an awesome addition to Repo, as it lets you traverse the maps more efficiently, you can store loot, up to $20,000 worth, and you can even use the bike to hurt and kill enemies. The last devlog revealed some pretty exciting stuff, and their newest devlog revealed more added content.
Repo is still in early access, so Semiwork is really ramping up the updates and patchwork for the game. Semiwokr had announced previously that starting in 2026, they are aiming to post videos every other week, on Fridays. They want to ensure that every video they produce has something fun to showcase to keep fans interested in the game while working on developing the updates and the added content.
Repo has certainly garnered a huge fanbase as a successful Lethal Company-like game, with enough of its own DNA to be considered a unique co-op horror experience. Like Lethal Company, there are so many unscripted comedic moments that make the game so entertaining and keep players coming back for more. It isn’t known when Semiwork plans to release the full game; however, we are enjoying all the different kinds of content the devs have been working on to make the game even more entertaining.
