The 2 Possible Endings in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check and the Best Ways to Unlock Them

Quarantine Zone: The Last Check made its full release last month, after being out in early access for a little over a year. The full game has added new content, including possible endings to this simulation game. There are two possible endings you can get, depending on your choices throughout each day, and here’s how to unlock each ending in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check.

The Good Ending

When you play the campaign mode, you have to go through 26 days of routinely scanning survivors to determine whether they are infected or not. There are four different places you can send survivors after thoroughly checking them for infection: The Survivor camp, if they are cleared for infection, Quarantine, if you are not so sure whether or not they are infected, Liquidation, if you know without a doubt the survivor is infected, and the Laboratory, if survivors have symptoms that have not been discovered yet.

Throughout the 26 days, you’ll be judged on your decisions and how well you categorize each survivor that shows up at your checkpoint. It all depends on your performance. If you kill too many civilians, let through too many infected survivors, or fail to meet quarantine excavation quotas, this will all count against you. Here are all the ways you can unlock the good ending:

  • Complete successful evacuations without sending any infected survivors away in the trucks.
  • Keep the waves of zombie hordes from breaking down the defenses as they rush the wall.
  • Save as many survivors as possible, and eliminate the infected.
  • Send zombies in a cage with the evacuations for scientific research.

To ensure you can unlock the good ending, you will want to fill at least three out of the five evacuation quotas successfully without issue, and send zombies in cages with at least two of the evacuations. After 26 days, and completing all the requirements to guarantee a good ending, you’ll have the choice to leave the safe zone in a helicopter or stay and enter endless mode, where you can continue checking survivors for infection.

The Bad Ending

The bad ending is actually a lot easier to guarantee than the good ending because all you have to do is fail. However, you can’t just simply force a fail by killing too many survivors or sending them to the wrong places. This will cause you to continuously lose money, and the game will force you to restart the game. To unlock the bad ending, you have to reach day 26 and fail multiple evacuations.

The best way to do this is by making sure you only send part of the quota. It doesn’t matter if you send infected survivors into the convoy. The trick is to fail to complete at least three quotas and forget to send a zombie in a cage at least twice, and this will ensure you unlock the bad ending. On day 27, you’ll have a conversation with the Major, and he’ll be infuriated with your performance, even aiming his gun at you for failing. This will automatically put you in endless mode, and you won’t have the option to leave.
