Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 – Locate All Missing Memories and Retrieve the Door Code Full Guide
Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 released in full last week, and it’s been a blast uncovering the lore and getting through all the puzzles. This chapter definitely upped the difficulty of all the puzzles. I remember getting stuck a few times and having to backtrack a lot when solving puzzles. With the great difficulty of the game, this is definitely the longest chapter in the series, and the most fun in my opinion.
One particular puzzle that had me going around in circles was collecting three memory chips to be able to use a large machine found in the Memory Room of the factory. Here is a full guide on finding all 3 memory chips and retrieving the door code to unlock the door behind the memory machine in Poppy Playtime Chapter 5.
Finding All 3 Memory Chips in Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 Full Guide
Memory Chip # 1 Location

The first memory chip can be found right by the large memory machine you are trying to activate inside the Memory Room. It will be lying on the ground by one of the machines to insert the chips, and you can insert it into any of the machines to get you started.
Memory Chip # 2 Location

The second memory chip requires a bunch of different steps. After you insert the first chip, you’re going to want to exit the Memory Room. Once you’re in the hallway, take the blue door to your right, and scan your blue hand on the scanner next to the door. Once you enter the room, make sure to switch Glowby to Blacklight mode and inspect the red valves. It’s important to note that each valve has a shape drawn alongside it, which will help you solve the puzzle.
Head up the staircase and turn immediately right towards the open area. You’ll find the clue for solving the puzzle on the wall to the right. Memorize the order of shapes on the wall, and you’ll have to activate four valves in the exact order of these shapes. After activating the last valve, pull the lever, which will ventilate all the red smoke out of the ship room upstairs. Make your way upstairs and head to your left. There’s a destroyed room at the end of the hallway, blocked by debris.
Use your GrabPack to grab the handle of the red door on the other side to reveal a fire panel to charge up your Conductive Hand. Once your Conductive Hand has the fire element, go inside the room on the left. Touch the gas burner station with your Conductive Hand to cause a small explosion and shatter the beaker. The explosive will cause a crack in the window behind the burner station, where you can use your Pressure Hand to shatter it. Enter the room through the window, and you’ll find the second memory chip.
Memory Chip # 3 Location

To get the third memory chip, return to the corridor outside the machine and go through the tight space to the left of the boxes. Use the Blue Hand on the hand scanner and open up the double doors to enter the Conditioning department. Immediately turn left and go down the hallway. Enter the room in the middle to find an electricity panel to charge up your Conductive Hand.
You’ll have to visit four different rooms and activate the projector with your hand. Each room will play propaganda footage that the little children were conditioned with. Different rooms will unlock as you keep activating projectors. This will lead to a series of you unlocking different rooms until you find the room with the fire panel, which you’ll need to charge your Conductive Hand to burn the hair lock on the double doors. This leads to the main office in Conditioning, that hold the last memory chip.
Retrieving the 6-Digit Code and Unlocking the Door in the Memory Room

Once you have all the memory chips, insert all three memories into the terminal, and step into the pod. When you’re inside, pull the lever, and you’ll be subject to view and live through each memory, which you’ll have to participate in to move through each one, and exit the pod. After you’re able to exit, look at the display on the machine to get the six-digit door code, and you’ll be able to unlock the door.
