New Hellraiser Revival Love Story Trailer Days Before Valentines Day

Hellraiser Revival is the game adaptation of the classic horror film franchise, and it has just released a new trailer. This trailer, dubbed the Love Story trailer, comes just days before Valentine’s Day, and it seems very fitting given the timeline. Here’s what the trailer reveals about Hellraiser Revival coming out later this year.

Valentine’s Day is just a couple of days away, and Saber Interactive and PlayStation saw it fit to release a new trailer for Hellraiser Revival, dubbed the Love Story trailer. Whether this trailer is to celebrate Valentine’s Day isn’t necessarily clear; however, it seems a little coincidental that something dubbed the Love Story trailer would drop so close to Valentine’s Day.

The new love story trailer centers around Aiden and Sunny’s relationship, opening with romantic background music and Aiden’s loving stare at Sunny. Scenes of their domestic relationship play out during the trailer, just like a typical romance montage does, until the trailer reminds us that this is a horror game. The trailer then morphs into a conversation between Aiden and an old woman who asks why he is in love with Sunny.

The trailer also shows a little bit of how Sunny came into possession of the Genesis configuration and her obsession with it, which is mirrored by what looks like Aiden’s obsession with Sunny, and how he needs her. This tale of lust, which is mistaken for love, and passion that turns into obsession, perfectly encapsulates the Hellraiser franchise and Clive Barker’s vision of what the film series was meant to be. We also get a glimpse of the female Cenobite, another iconic character in the Hellraiser Franchise.

Here’s some of the narration we hear in the Love Story trailer:

(Female Cenobite) Enlighten me… How do you know you love Sunny?

(Aiden) When she’s near, I feel this rush. I need her.

(Female Cenobite) Sometimes, the things we think we need, are not all that good for us. As you say, I have witnessed you, Aiden Lynch. You crave what we offer. Your desires… so plentiful. Give into your thirst.

(Pinhead) Such delicious torment. It is done. She belongs to the Labryinth now. But perhaps we can come to an arrangement.

(Aiden) What do you want from me?

(Pinhead) Aiden Lynch. You wil give yourself to our purpose. All that you are. Let us begin.

Saber Interactive Bringing Pleasure and Pain in an Original Storyline

Last summer, Saber Interactive announced a game adaptation of the Hellraiser series called Hellraiser Revival, an original storyline to the Hellraiser series. This story follows Aiden on a quest to save his girlfriend, Sunny, from the hellscape known as the Labrynth. This hell is an extradimensional, dark, and maze-like realm of eternal, extreme pain and pleasure, with beings called the Cenobites who drag you there when you complete a puzzle box called the Genesis Configuration.

Sunny attempts and solves the Genesis Configuration, which consequently summons the Cenobites who then drag her into the Labrynth. Aiden, stricken by what he witnesses, follows them into the portal to try to save Sunny, where he encounters damned souls and a crazy cult, while fighting off everything that moves. This gore fest of a game showcases the potential the Hellraiser series was meant to be in all its disgustingly beautiful horror, honing in on the balance between pleasure and pain.

There is a high expectation for Hellraiser Revival, especially with longtime fans of the series, like myself. Though there has yet to be a release date for the game, it is expected to be released later this year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. This is definitely one of my most anticipated games of 2026, and I can’t wait to see how Saber Interactive adapts this classic horror film franchise. I know Pinhead has such sights to show us in Hellraiser Revival.
