Free Games! On Amazon Prime Gaming – July 6, 2026

July has arrived with explosions of fireworks and celebrations of the 250th anniversary of our country. For those who aren’t the partying type, Amazon Prime has an incredible 22 games available for free right now! Games are available through Amazon Luna (Amazon Prime Gaming), Epic Games, Legacy Games, and GoG. Most are free PC games, but there is a free Mac game as well.

These games are all free as of the writing of this article on July 6, 2026. The free periods end on different dates. So don’t wait! Let’s jump into some gaming!

On Amazon Luna from Amazon Prime

Free PC games from Amazon Luna, available through Amazon Prime Gaming, can be downloaded and played in the Amazon Games app. There are three titles on their platform, and they are compatible only with PC.

Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch

The first game available for Amazon Luna is a roguelite tactical RPG that drops you onto “a mysterious island of damned souls.” You must fight to survive while choosing allies, skills, and weapons. There are eight allies you can unlock, many random skill upgrades, and persistent upgrades. Random encounters will present choices for “unexpected twists and turns, impacting the outcome of battles.”

Terraforming Mars

Next up, a turn-based strategy game that has qualities similar to games like Civilization. In this case, you’re running one of several corporations that are trying to terraform Mars to make it inhabitable. You’ll work on raising the temperature and oxygen level as well as creating oceans. You can place cities in the green spaces, use Project cards, manage production, and more to gain Victory Points while watching out for sabotage from rival corporations.

Survival: Fountain of Youth

We mentioned this one in June’s rundown of free games. The “open-world survival game set on the Caribbean islands” remains free through Jul 15, 2026.

Epic Games Store

Once you link your Amazon Prime and Epic Games Store accounts, claiming these free PC games is a piece of cake. There are seven titles available from the Epic Games Store this month.

LONESTAR

Described as a “strategic roguelike spaceship deckbuilder,” LONESTAR puts you in the role of a bounty hunter searching for criminals throughout the universe. Choose a ship, customize it, and gain new talents and treasures.

If this sounds familiar (it did to me), it might be because the Epic Games Store offered it as a free game on May 28, so I wrote about it then. That gave me some deja vu!

Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga

Next up, a “2D turn-based strategy RPG” that has a campaign that last up to 40 hours, more than 50 character classes, and a variety of equipment, artifacts, and a tech tree. The game takes place in the world of Tahnra where a “rogue general” has kidnapped the Empress and you are a young commander of an expedition in the middle of it all.

Space Grunts: Chrono Shard

Described as a “high-speed, turn-based roguelike,” you’re fighting the Ooze with the help of a Chrono Shard, which you can use to create time loops and leave gear and upgrades for your “future self.” It sounds like quick reflexes are very helpful and even necessary to be successful. The game includes a crafting system, skill trees, and sub-classes.

G.I. JOE: Wrath of Cobra

This should be very appealing to Gen-X gamers. It’s described as a “retro side-scrolling beat ’em up inspired by the iconic 1980s era.” You get to play as the heroes of G.I. JOE like Duke, Scarlett, and Snake Eyes while battling villains like Destro, Baroness, and Cobra Commander.

Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered

Three games are included as part of this puzzler. There are a total of 160 paintings which provide around three to four hours of gameplay. In the first game, you’ll recreate abstract paintings. The second game sends you into the streets of New York City to collect the words from a poem. And, in the third game, your task is to help two squares (Boogie and Woogie) come together.

Space Grunts 2

Paradise Killer

Described as a “free-form, open world, first-person exploration investigation game,” Paradise Killer puts you in the role of an investigator trying to solve the mass murder of the ruling council of Paradise Island. You can question suspects and find evidence in any order. The description also says the player will uncover “a truth they shape and craft.”

XCOM: Chimera Squad

Lastly, we have a “turn-based tactical combat” game in the XCOM universe. This is a world where aliens and humans coexist though not everyone feels the same way. You’re running the Chimera Squad, a group of agents tasked with taking care of threats to peace.
